If you're Saban, why wouldn't you offer him a chance to start clean.

LSU wouldn't release him to transfer to Bama now (would still have to sit out a year), he would have to lay out this year and sign with Bama next

you do realize this is the same guy telling you that tm would not be drafted if he goes to d2 schools....yet he would be a 1st/2nd rounder at LSU......and the draft experts say he would be no lower than 2nd round at d2....soooooo

You do realize that you're the same guy that can't even get D1 & D2 straight right?

Btw, red >>>> your dumb arse through all of this.

Sure they can, but obviously playing week in week out in the SEC and doing well would greatly improve his stock. TM wants back in that spotlight for TM as well

how is TM accepting the punishment that LSU's drug policy calls for in any way "hardball"?

Tm expresses interest in sitting out a year at LSU

Some officials at LSU say he is permanently ineligible, others later come back and say he is off the team this year, and won't speculate about the future...they soften their stance, sounds like with a little advice from someone....you think the Senior Official from compliance just made up that shtie....come on man.

So you're trying to tell us Herb is in on all of this? That's not his style man.

This is tyrann changing his mind, not lsu.

Exactly. So the whole "hardball" crap is, well, crap. The offer for 1 year suspension was on the table at the beginning, it sounds like...and the rules/expectations for behavior during that one year were always going to be strict, IMO. This is just TM agreeing to it. Not LSU changing suddenly playing '"hardball" about TM being suspended.

Bo said himself that he was taken out of context.

Lesson learned Bo: don't do interviews with scum like Guilbeau

yeah....my bad...i keep putting d1...obviously everyone knows I mean d2 in this situation.

Hey bud...if you think highly of red for saying he wouldn't get drafted if he goes to d1......despite what ALL the experts say...then more power to you....can't help you there..

Exactly. The same thing LSU fans are hoping.

He doesn't need a release from LSU if he pays his own tuition. And Saban can handle that from the coffee money.

Personally, I don't think anyone at LSU "prevented" TM from sitting out a year and potentially coming back. To the contrary, I think that's exactly what LSU offered, and the offer/punishment was completely rejected at first.

I had this same thought. I suspect that he received this offer and told Les (or whoever delivered the message) to piss off, and that he would take the show elsewhere. I would then expect that he was encouraged not to let the door hit him on the way out.

When it's actually still div.1 just add AA.

He's been on top of this from the beginning and then some. Btw, Janzen Jackson is a good comparison to TM7 at this point. Jenkins was a pure shut down corner to the NFL. Tyrann, not so much.

I'm still not exactly sure what you've claimed...

It seems you base your entire opinion off of Bo's quote that was later clarified/retracted by Herb, making Bo's quote irrelevant.

If you have any facts to add, please feel free to elaborate.
