Isn’t there anyone else on the bench that can sort of hit and play sufficient defense at third!? I just don’t get it. Hughes can’t produce anything at the plate.

Just play Ried at 3rd and Beloso at 1st. If a lefty is pitching then DH Bianco if a righty is pitching then DH DiGiacomo.

What? Pointing out how bad Hal's batting is, is like saying water is wet. It's obvious and has nothing to do with anything else. You are one of them bastards that believes in giving trophies to everyone.
