What would it take for him to accept a job as an OC at a big time school? Would like to see him at LSU as an OC. Probably very doubtful, any see this as a possibility?

The Rant has a hard time understanding bad head coaches can still be great coordinators.

I don’t want him at LSU. His passing game historically at Auburn has not been great. No thanks at LSU!

Gus won't be a coordinator for a while.
At least until after an unsuccessful attempt at HC somewhere else.

He had to give up play calling duties because Auburn’s offenses were under performing

His offense would drive the rant to the moon. The first delay of game we got with all his pre snap motion would send the scoreboard nuclear. I almost hope it happens

Unless you’re Ed Orgeron there’s a few more responsibilities that come with being a head coach.

Gus does not run an offense that fits what O wants to do.

True but Malzhan’s offensive scheme is not what we want. He’d b3 a great run game coordinator but nothing more.

I mean, you do realize he’s been Auburn’s play caller since he got there?

Has a Gus QB ever improved as his career went along?

That’s true, but I still don’t want him as the OC. FWIW, I agree with what your point that bad head coaches can be good coordinators. I just don’t think Malzahn is an example of that.

He is on easy street. He might get Arkansas after the newest coach fails.

. He didn’t have to because he was getting paid, but what he does do is breakdown a shite load of film on EVERY CONFERENCE OPPONENT and he hasn’t forgotten how to coach. That guy can flat out coach defense. That was NEVER his issue.
