I just think most people want every wrong doer thrown in jail until its someone they know or a family member. "Their hypocrisy knows no bounds."

All of this silliness will all be forgotten the first time that Hill breaks loose for a 50 yard touchdown.

It is what it is.

The writer is going to write this kind of article because of the off the field situations LSU had been in with it's star players over the past 2 years. Both were covered in the national sports news and on ESPN Gameday.

Should have been expected.

If you would have gotten boomed the way he did by Baloo, you would have disappeared too.

Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire is a Supreme Court case from 1942 which introduced the "fighting words" doctrine. Roughly stated, words whose very utterance is intended to breach the peace or incite violence are not Constitutionally protected. Calling someone the N-word certainly falls into this category, and thus, is not Constitutionally protected speech.

You don't have the right to incite violence and then hide behind the First Amendment.

At common law, assault is defined as an act intended to cause an apprehension of harmful or offensive contact that causes apprehension of such contact in the victim. Words alone are not enough, but words plus some action (such as a raised fist) is enough to constitute criminal assault.

I'm not familiar with Louisiana's criminal code, but I doubt it is too different from the national standard, and it certainly will not violate a Supreme Court decision.

Boom.

Oh, and he's been prohibited by both judges from speaking a word about the fight or the victim AT THE REQUEST OF THE VICTIM

yup. fact is, we'll never know what the "victim" did to provoke people to punch him, but i doubt it was just "being white and leaving tigerland."

the dude ran his mouth(whether that be an N bomb or not), his friends caught the video of the result.

Hill, by all accounts does not seem to be a mouth breathing idiot thug.

dumbass =/= "vicious predator"

I'm telling you, Doyell's coverage is borderline libelous.

Doyell is much closer to libel here than Hill is to a "vicious predator", and I am one of the one's that said Hill's behavior was awful.

Doesn't make him a "vicious predator"

exactly! /thread

apparently locker room BJ's ONLY matter to people when they're given to scholarship 4-5star athletes. The rest of the team this chick double blew doesn't matter.

I think there's also some butthurt going on from a buncha people that never got this kind of attention in highschool.

What's worse is that he is trying to get this "vicious Jeremy Hill" meme rolling on twitter.

he is and Richelle Cary is cosigning this shite, trying to say a 14 year cant consent and is the victim, which I half way agree with, but she has blocked me, lol.

the article is very light on context and facts.

Theses poor bastards can't see straight since Hill didn't hang. Two misdemeanors that's all it is. The "victim" knows he's a douche and is probably happy they can't talk about it. Dude who stalked and recorded should get hung out
