is an absolute must prior to camp. Many games are LOST without this as we've seen for many years.
BK apparently understands this more than Hester, TBob, MM among so many others that worship Moffitt.
Now Saban can hire him like everybody used as a measuring stick.

Actually, what we need is to shut the “compliance” office’s jackasses down, so that we can go back to letting our kids take human growth hormone just like BAMA!

Our offense line might die before next season. They were all out of the shape this year. I have a feeling Kelly takes a hard line.

It’s interesting to me this is the first move made by Kelly

However I think it’s been pretty evident for years we are lacking in this department on field. The LOS play has to be dominant to win championships. We have to get better there despite any personal relationships of past players or prior perception of the teams conditioning program in the past.

The rough thing is that I feel like this is a multi-year project on the S&C front. I think it’ll be the longest rebuild of all the compartmentalized rebuilds Kelly will have to undergo. Guys who loved Moffitt had been denying it but we have some seriously fat players. Guys like Deculus never should’ve been allowed to get as overweight and sloppy as they did, it’ll take a full year or two to get our athletes 100% where they should be, you can only recompose so much in 7-8 months while you’re trying to put in max effort on the practice field and weight room at the same time

Time to Bring Matt Vincent home! HVIII Brand in P&G

On a serious note, Matt would be a great resource for in a S&C Team.

Also, if LSU is still on that Muscle Milk shite, its time to cut those ties.

Disagree 100%

Up to two years of intense training to be ready?!

Dude. It’ll take one off season cycle through the summer and things will be 80+% improved. You don’t understand the physiology of a 17-21 yo body.

I know Kelly is a fan of HIIT and I think that’s a great system for today’s game. The Olympic/explosive philosophy has a place but lacks the sustainability needed when considering a 4 hour performance window.

Someone mentioned the olines conditioning. Yeah. They are about to be put to the test and that is a great thing. Steel sharpens steel.

No doubt

I doubt that. I’m quite sure they’re all aware of its importance. I mean, most football fans are. It’s how he goes about doing it that may or may not be outdated relative to all the new data access. But we have no idea what goes on behind the scenes. Certainly not enough to properly evaluate.

That’s not what I said, I said it will take more than one offseason cycle for things to be 100% where Kelly is going to want them to be, which you just agreed with.

I understand S&C better than 99% of people out there and every single time I try to have a civil discussion I have some a-hole telling me that I don’t know what I’m talking about so you can stroke your CrossFit/high school S&C expert ego, then I’m proven right in 4 months. Just like I didn’t know anything 2 weeks ago when I said Moffitt wasn’t highly regarded anymore within the program and wasn’t going to be retained.

If you want to nitpick each other’s posts, this is the most ridiculous shite I’ve ever read. I promise a major program’s S&C program isn’t going to be based on HIIT, especially when you consider the fact that Kelly is in the process of hiring a guy who’s a national team caliber olympic lifter. But please go on about how the basis of every NFL and college S&C program “lacks the sustainability needed when considering a 4 hour performance window” definitely not pulling that out of your arse or anything

Maybe they could look at the S&C coach at Baylor.

I've watched most of Baylor's games this year and you would have to be blind not to see that Apu Ika is more "svelte" and much more quicker than he was while at LSU.

Congrats. At least half of this CrossFit/high school S&C expert ego ahole fan base already said this.

Considering I have had hands on experience with the application of S&C for a P5 school, I’ll take your rant to heart.

And, my point was instituting elements of HIIT into the training program. I didn’t make that clear. As for CrossFit, never did it. I was always a power lifter.

ETA: and, I said explosive trading has a place…….don’t be so damned sensitive.

That will work great on the west coast. They can yoga their way to a Natty, till they run into an SEC team.

The covid "vaccine" negates all this anyway. Look at all the players worldwide in the peak of physical shape with all the strange, mysterious injuries, and in several cases, dropping dead in the middle of play.

Could you guys describe the different philosophies and/or types of training out there for football? I know very little about it; in the 80’s, we just benchpressed and ran.

What the hell does this even mean? Were you a P5 S&C coach or did you just install some iPads on the racks?
