This is a very good article showing the sentiment of many Tiger Fans re: TDA is not just whining.

FWIW - I believe we still should have won because 0-24 in middle should not have happened, even in that park. I am of the belief the new Bats and TDA takes away from the game and fan experience. As you can see from article its not just us.

If it doesn't link up can someone fix. Thx. Enjoy the read.

The Indiana coach is an idiot. His big hitter, third in the nation in home runs, blistered a ball in the ninth vs Ms State, it fell about 15 feet short of the centerfield warning track. His next batter hit one off the fence but got stranded at second. Both of those balls should have left the yard.

Ignore the idiots. It's as if no one had a gripe with the bats until LSU lost according to them.

Something has to be done. Your average baseball fan will not watch this shite. It's turning in to hockey or soccer which is boring as frick.

CPM has been quoted several times that one of his biggest gripes about the changes in the bats is that the NCAA did not contact any college baseball coach for an expert opinion. Instead, a 10 member committee made the rule change on its own, with no feedback whatsoever from any coach in college baseball. At least this time, according to the article, coaches will be polled. And of course the Indiana coach does not want any changes. His conference finally made it to the big game with small ball.

You don't agree that soccer and hockey are boring to watch.

Not that you would know, but my avatar is from a soccer team. Clearly, I do not agree. But to each his own.

Well that's very confusing then. Why does it say "football club?"

That's because their closer should have given up walk off homers in both their first and second game of the CWS. Instead, those balls died on the TD Ameritrade warning track and State was 2-0.

I will add that John Cohen is twice the hitting coach than what we have at LSU. That's a fact.

The thing some are not grasping about these discussions is it is not LSU bitching. Lets say Miss St. wins it all - they would also like to see the changes we are discussing. Its not about LSU losing. Its about fixing something that was changed and had a bad result and correcting the mistake. That is why they have an article from coaches without a dog in the race complaining, not an Advocate article.

One thing that stood out to me in the article was pointing out there are no big comebacks - where team and fans alike go crazy.

Hitting for power is one of the tools. You dont want to discourage hitting for power from the equation. If you want to gamble some speed and/ or average for a Masher - then you should be able to. You cant take power out of the game.

Found article on the balls:

The records show Indiana hit more HRs than LSU in 2013, so much for small ball.
