Yeah I agree. We should have wasted the little bit of our bullpen that is left in a game we were already losing and didnt threaten to score another run in. /s

Pulling Henry at 90 pitches was irrelevant to the outcome of that game.

Just get to 20 SEC wins. That gets you the national seed.. Its tough to sweep a conference team on the road. Even though the team that doesn't hit the ball that well, Mizzou has decent pitchers.

I don't get half the shite Mainieri does. I have said my peace many times and I said he does enough to keep the base happy. You get to 20 SEC wins even his haters cant bitch. But the natives are restless. 10 years post Natty. If I was the new AD and say Mainieri pulls a Stony Brook or With a Nola & Bregman Lead team, pull a two and BBQ at the CWS. I would kindly drive up to Oxford and get Bianco out of that hobbit Land shark cesspool...

Bianco is a much better coach than PM. Reverse the roles and Bianco has multiple championships here and Ole Miss is what they were before Bianco arrived. Recruiting to Oxford, Mississippi isn't an easy task.

What in God’s name does that even mean?

Hobbits live in a very beautiful part of Middle Earth - nothing at all like Oxford.

Bianco hires a Batting coach for starters. Before you start down the Mainieri has a natty, read below. You know Bianco doesn't have near the resources and brand behind him like LSU.

I just shake my head at times at Mainieri.. Yes he has consistently put LSU in position to make post season runs. If LSU gets to 20 conference wins which I firmly feel they will..even Mainieri's biggest haters can't say jack shite. LSU will be a national seed and probably be in position to win the conference or come close. When LSU has golden opportunities to prove LSU is the still at least a shadow of the standard.. Maineiri has failed miserably. 2013.. Do you want me to remind you how that 57-11 Overall, 23-7 in the SEC team ended their season? Team won both the SEC title and the tourney title when they didn't have to win one in Hoover.. Nola is the GOAT SEC pitcher.. You had Bregman. Both studs in MLB. That was a natty team. Get to Omaha and shite the bed. Only managed to get 2 runs the whole fricking CWS. and UCLA beat LSU on a freaking error. 2012.. Stony Brook season.. Need I say more. SEC Champs 19-11 in league play but couldn't get out of our own Super Regional... piss poor. 2016 Season...LSU got bounced out of his own Super by a school that's about the size of McNeese. A 19 SEC win team. 2017. Awesome season. Team fought through adversity and put on an historic run. Won both the SEC Tourney and the conference title. Even fought through the loser's bracket in Omaha. It became a natty team. But Mainieri in vintage CPM fashion played not to lose vs Florida in the Best of 3 to decide the CWS natty..How in the hell you don't start Poche' who had plenty of rest for the night game on Monday night? And then start Lange who is coming off plenty of rest for the Tuesday evening game? Mainieri was scared of Springer. Springer is a stud and dominated for the most part, but LSU did get 2 runs off Springer in the 6th and ended up with more hits than Florida with 9 to their 6 hits. But Florida wins 4-3. No errors. That's on Mainieri. He played not to lose and lets face it.. the 2009 team for the most part was teed up for Mainieri. Coleman the ace was Smoke and Turtle's player. Schimpf was recruited by Turtle.. Blake Dean was recruited by Turtle Jared Mitchell fell in Mainieri'slap but Turtle recruited the hell out of him for years. And Chad Jones fell in Mainieri's lap.

Yeah Mainieri for the most part is a efficient skipper in the conference. Puts LSU in position for a post season run most seasons. But pissed away 2 nattys: 2013 and 2017. and got embarrassed in their own park by Stony brook and Coastal Carolina that prevented LSU from going to Omaha. Again.. Maineiri is efficient. not great. I would take Savage at UCLA anyday.. and yes Bianco.

lsu fans my age have called Ole Miss hobbits for years. They are runts. Its more metaphorical to their height. and you are right in your other point... its not like Oxford.

If you can't take 72 seconds to read it.. I can't help you. Cliff note this... Mainieri shits the bead in 2013 with imo one of the best teams LSU ever assembled. 57-11 and 23-7 in the SEC... only scores 2 runs in the CWS and got bounced with 2 & BBQ. And UCLA won off of a LSU error. 2016 & 2017 Stony Brook and C.C. embarrassments. And 2017... Mainieri....choked..played not to lose in the Best of 3 vs Florida for the natty. You start Poche' and Lange Monday and Tuesday respectively. Despite Springer dominated..LSU still yielded 2 runs off of him in the 6th and almost won. piss poor. golden opportunities...CPM shits the bed.

The narrative that you have to get a national championship coach to replace CPM is flawed.

Just because coaches with far less talent haven’t won a National Championship doesn’t mean they aren’t better coaches.

Look for coaches that do more with less. And less would be almost every other team in the nation.
