Sorry if I missed it or it’s already been said, but what’s up with their uniforms? Only thing I can figure out is that they have various negroe league teams on their jerseys?

No “e” on the end of Negro. But yes, they are honoring teams from the Negro League by each player wearing a different uni.

It was definitely cool and I like that Grambling had alot of Hispanic and white players as well as Hilliard pitching for us. Diversity looked good in the Box this evening.

On the episode Sanford and Son episode "Lamont Goes African", Lamont wanted to change his name to Kalunda to reflect his African roots.

Lamont: These names we have were passed down to us by a slavemaster.

Fred: You were named after Lamont Lomax who pitched 37 consecutive scoreless innings in 1932. And he wasn't pitching for no slavemaster. He was pitching for the Homestead Grays.

My brother got Buddy D to say negro on the air by refering to Deion Sanders’ knee getting bigger while he was running.

Buddy D: Knee grows? His knee grows? What do you mean his knee grows?

It was epic, and before they introduced the broadcast delay.
