They might've gotten swept, but they sure had a gritty team. They never gave up, and I've got to say I was impressed. A lot of times when you see a team get begin especially in game three of the series you see them get weaker at their at bats, but they had great discipline and character. They've got a hell of a coach who I think will get them better every year, and the new stadium will help their recruiting. Cheers to you Miss St. Going to miss that element that old stadium brought to college baseball.

Their outfield atmosphere is 10x better than ours, which is truly a shame

They're having one last fling at the old DNF:

As I get ready to leave Starkville, some drunk dudes are trying to hit golf balls onto home plate from their tailgate in right field

this post is so patronizing to the point it's basically daddy congratulating their child after spanking them by saying their arse is firm

Agreed. I didnt think they were really that gritty. They had a bunch of terrible at bats swinging at pitches out of the zone

So what are we "giving" to them? Applause for effort as scholarship baseball players?

And their grand stand is perpetually lifeless and half full. When it is full, it's old blue hairs that have been holding season tickets for 628 years.

Giving cheers to Moo State. Good Lord. I guess you think Coen is a swell guy, too, right?

They'll be a force once Cannizaro gets some pitching in there. No doubt about that

I have enjoyed the LSU/Ms St series a ton over the years and this year was no exception. Their team was fun to watch and their batting averages - slugging percentages are just stellar. their fatal flaw this year was pitching...they throw hard and have good movement, but you just can't be walking in multiple runs per game.

hats off to them for being gracious hosts and I am already looking forward to seeing their new stadium next year.
