Time for the University to make a great hire like they did with Woodward.

Wouldn't be surprised if it IS Woodward TBH. He was Emmert's right hand man and LSU athletics are in the best shape in the last 50 years. And as we have seen with F King, he could have a significant influence over athletics from that new perch.

I know there’s no chance of bringing Emmert back as prez, but that would be incredible

Emmert has to be tired of dealing with the NCAA BS huh?

Beat me to the punch. I'm sure it highly unlikely, but I'd lose my damn mind. LSU would have the largest collection of alphas running that school than the rest of the country combined.

There's approximately a 0% chance that Woodward gets hired as the President of LSU

Maybe it won't be this hire, but Woodward will be the president of LSU at some point.

We'll see. I think it would be a brilliant hire. Scott is a very smart guy who excels at politics and is a proven winner at everything he has ever done. And the university needs him more than the athletic program... Anyway, let's see if the board is smart enough to figure that out.

It was reported when he was hired that it was with the understanding that he would eventually take over as president. It might be too soon for it this go round though. We shall see. I think the 0% chance comment was foolish though.

Bring back Stuart Bell, current Pres of BAMA. Knows how important a very successful football program is to the school and have always been impressed when speaking with him.

I still think you have to at least test the waters with Emmert. He might not want to have to navigate the rough waters the NCAA will be facing over the next few years.

I am not aware of Woodard having a terminal degree. Staff not likely to support someone without it. We tried that once and it didn't work.

JBE has had a controlling majority of the BOS for two years now and both Alleva and F. King are gone; Vestiges of the Good Ole Jindal years so many posters here seem to miss.

Terminal degrees gave us the terminal disease of F King.

I say tap Woodward and then Woodward could plug in Verge Ausberry as AD. In essence, Woodward would have mega influence over both the university and athletics. Also we would get a coveted "LSU promotes AA to lead the athletic program" press release. Good PR everywhere and we can have our cake and eat it too.
