I want to say if Drake had kids and they were videos and pictures, he wouldn't have been charged for that.
And maybe I'm a prude, but even if my wife were to send me that stuff, I'd laugh about it, but I'm not saving that to my phone or keeping the text.
ETA Remember the article said the texts were from May, so he's had this on his phone for 4 months.

It's one thing to be actively trading child pornography images. But it's quite another to unilaterally receive something you never asked for, nor wanted.
I get what you're saying and agree, but it seems like everyone is focusing on the wrong video. Yeah, the 5 year old with his dick in the fan is raunchy and slightly disturbing, but not "child porn" in my book.
But the other video is of a 10 year old masturbating in the tub! I don't think there's any dispute that this is child porn, and it is not ok to have on your phone whether it was unwanted or not.

This reminds me of the recent ATC/FBI Scandel. Chris Young was charged for child porn then extorted with it.
I'm quite positive this video he was charged for having has been seen by millions of people over the years. It was being shared and emailed around before Facebook Messenger was born.

Most people who are offended by a text delete it. Not saying Drake purposely saved the videos, but he didn't delete them either so at the very least he wasn't offended which is greatly disturbing. Sure hope he is able to do some personal reflection and get his like back on the correct path.

Having an argument with a friend. Isn’t Drake Davis the one who wrote the long letter committing to LSU and why he did??? Everybody thought he was a high character kid back then.
