I do not understand the hate. The man produces a champ and a runner-up. He re-established what Skip built after Smoke stunk it up. He will be hard to replace so let’s enjoy him while we can

Smoke never lost 50+ games in two seasons.

It’s that expectation that frustrates me. With all the good athletes foregoing football because of the risk, college baseball is a better product than in past decades

Meanwhile Miss St has had 4 coaches in 4 years and look.... they’re in Omaha.

I'm a supporter, but he underperformed this year and the players made silly mistakes all season and especially this past weekend. That's on the head coach in any sport in collegiate athletics on down. That's why he gets paid so well, to win.

Bring him to your house and have a BBQ and have a few beers. He can be your buddy. However, as LSU's Baseball Coach for a million a year CPM ain't getting done.

How long do you keep it up with the "he won a natty" line. It has been 10 years since then and finishing #2 to UF means about as much as finishing #2 to Bama in 2011. Such bullshite.

Just wait until we get an inspiring motivator as a coach. You guys will love it. The box will return to its magical status and CPM will be just a bad memory.

We've won multiple national titles?

From the looks of it, we have 1 in 13 years, and that 1 was 10 years ago

We've also only been to Omaha once in the last 4 seasons, losing not once, but twice in a super regional at home against a 2 or 3 seed from another regional.

I don’t hate the guy but he has not done a good job lately. The team we have seen lately was poorly coached and he made bad decisions in game. If we would have done the simple things last night, we would be playing today.

Something has to change.

Perhaps, but at least reflective of a desire to attain greatness and not accept mediocrity. I am not a Paul hater, but the brand of ball he coaches is stale.

I don’t really agree with this, but two straight disappointing seasons falling short of Omaha should warrant a “shite or get off the pot” kind of situation imho

If you think Paul Maineri will be hard to replace, then you must be as stupid as you sound. That or you're related to Paul! Either way, STFU with that nonsense.

Wow Mainieri has diluted this program to the point where fans are ok with not going to Omaha

Agreed 100%. Omaha every single season is a bit ambitious I think. But, can't be three years in a row. That dog won't hunt.
