What can House do to disguise Perkins? Smart will make it an emphasis to neutralize him and take away his big play ability

so they’re not going to pass the ball? good luck

I don’t know if they can really scheme away from him, but they’re going to prolly use their RB’s and TE’s more for pass protection to keep him from getting around the line and sacking the QB. He’s kind of like the Honey Badger, makes you think he’s going around the edge, but then one quick stunt, and he’s coming between the RG and C, and vice versa.

Good, use your TEs to block him. That takes them out of the play.

Then they run right into Ojulari.

Least of our worries. We need to score to keep pace

LSU will move him around

That won't work. Harold is like my wife at Walmart. Disappears on one aisle then reappears instantly on the other side of the store at will. Same magic...

Did you see his closing speed? Is it even possible to scheme away from him?
Posted on 11/15/22 at 2:46 am to TigerLunatik
Agree, they’ll have to run right at him IMO. Running away only lets his speed, eat…..

first chuckle of the morning

So other opponents haven’t tried this course of action?

I tell you this. Most of UGA big plays come from Bennett extending the play moving out the pocket and either throwing downfield or running.
If Perkins plays like he has, and takes this away from UGA offense, they become a very beatable team.

Put him in the ref outfit that stands right behind the QB pre-snap. Instant sack every time.

To “neutralize” him, you either run at him or release the ball before he has a chance to reach the qb. IE the short passing game.
No matter what happens….gonna be fun. We are playing house money, boys. No stress at all, just go run wild!

Scheme away? The D-line will have something to say about that because we are getting push up the middle with 3 & 4 rushers. It’s not perfect because sometimes we pass rush ourselves out of run fits. Either way we have big bodies and movement against some pretty solid offensive linemen so far. That’s a big part of why HP40 is having so much freedom to get the QB.

My biggest concern for that game isn't our defense. It's UGAs defense against our offense. Their defense is nasty. Our O line is going to have to play lights out.
