Great win - With a series win possible, why not go all in on game two. Starting pitcher Floyd, middle relief Coleman, closer Guidry. Hurd is done so ..... The other strategy has not worked in the last two series loses.

I really like Coleman starting Sunday as we need another starter.

Hopefully Money can do long relief game 3, so we can use the other guys today.

Hurd stepping up was huge. Hope he carries that into the post season

I like Coleman also but his physical condition is limiting his pitch count, so LSU must rely on the bull pen which has proved to be unreliable.

It depends on the situation but I agree. Go all in today. If you need to start money tommorow and just patch it together then so be it.

First things first - let's hope Ty can extend today and get at least 5.

Coleman is starting game 3. He won’t be coming in relief tonight.

I think they will sell out to win today, it just won't be with Coleman. Game 3 has been such a problem lately that we need Coleman to try to get 4 or 5 depending on pitch count. Tonight, I expect to see Floyd and Herring. Hopefully that's enough to win.

My guess is that’s going to be the strategy today. With a series win, you lock up a national seed and the road to Omaha goes through Baton Rouge. I’d think it’s all hands on deck to win this one and do some tinkering with the pitching tomorrow to set the stage for the SEC tourney.

If Hurd gets thru a couple innings he's nails but he’s a tad fragile when the UMP squeezes the strike zone & can fall apart between the ears quickly. Maybe Thursday’s game shows that CJJ pulls him too soon rather than allowing him to work his way out of the jams. Of course thats all hindsight by me of course.

It also seems like our defense always shite the bed when Hurd’s pitching & especially when he’s pitching pretty well.

Play to win every game....

But like others have said, win today to lock up a Top 8. Saturday gets iffy. If LSU and Arkansas both win then the SEC Tournament seeds are set at the top with
1. Arkansas
2. Florida
3. LSU
4. Vandy/USCe/Kentucky

I agree, at least lock a top 4 seed in sec tourney to give this team extra 2 days off, it’s a long season playing 4 games a week, I think this team just needs to recharge for 4-5 days with no actual games! Give the arms a lil extra break also

This isn’t the basketball tournament. Top 4 seeds in baseball play their first tournament game one day later not two.

LSU has at least won a game against Georgia. The top team in the standings can’t say the same

Unfortunately Money does not favor well against UGA in that sand box of s ballpark. Blake has been losing velo after about 30-40 pitches. He’s good for about 2 innings to get you out of a situation.

We’ve already done that.

Already locked up.

LSU holds the tiebreak over USCe due to head to head vs Arkansas (highest mutual opponent in the standings) and no other teams can catch LSU.
