Gavin officially announced he is returning next year. 19 HRs in 2021. Boom

Good to hear. He could be used in a variety of ways next year. OF, DH, and to shore up IF depth that is a little bit lacking in numbers.

He's shown the capability in the past to play the infield, but due to roster construction and the lack of positional versatility of other guys on the team, he's been primarily an outfielder for the last couple years.

If he’s healthy he’s in your lineup either in LF or DH, especially as a power RH bat.

The OF is stacked. Crews, Dugas, Pearson, Stevenson, Kling…

Curious how much time Nealy can get. He could be that dark horse bat that shores up the bottom of the lineup from the 8 spot.

Dugas also has the clutch gene (Ex: 2 HRs in the elimination game against Oregon, Go ahead HR against USM, etc). Will be huge to have a veteran/leader for the younger guys.

We have a solid track record of freshmen C contributing.

Ross and Gibbs both became starters as Freshmen. Johnson isn’t going to sacrifice an entire AB for great defense if he can get good defense and a hitter.

Hopefully, he will remain 100% healthy and have a great final season.

If there's anyone who embodies what LSU baseball means and deserves to play in Omaha, it's Gavin. Stoked to have him back
