Gameday parking for someone who hasn't been in a decade.

I've only been to games in Houston, Arlington and Dallas since 2007. Really don't know what to expect regarding parking, and driving in. It looks like almost everything is prepaid parking pass now. Is there a place for handicap parking? I have tickets but no parking pass. How screwed am I?

Handicap I'm not sure.

There will be plenty of parking that you don't need a parking pass for. There is paid lots where you pay to park upon arrival.

Stay home or ride with someone else. It’s the worse I’ve seen in 5+ decades. Just stupid on getting in and out.

Don't listen to this nonsense.

Arrive early and you will have zero issues getting in, or parking. Leaving you can expect traffic. There are thousands of people trying to leave at once.

If you want to drop your e mail I can tell you a place to park, for free. And you will have little to no traffic getting out.

If you get to the game at a decent time before the game, you can get a spot. Now leaving is brutal. Sitting in that traffic is what's making me want to stay home.

Driving in on Saturday morning from Dallas. What time does it start getting crowded coming in for parking? I guess with the holiday it won't be too bad since a lot of the students are gone.

The earlier the better. If you show up around 9-10 you will be OK. Arrive after 2 and you'll probably have major traffic issues coming in.

I really can't understand all this talk over the years about traffic after the game. I have been to 90% of the home games the last 15 years and stay to the end of the game. I have never experienced a traffic issue even after the big games like Bama. I have a 10 minute walk to the car and then I drive right out into free flowing traffic within moments.

I think some people just like to gripe and aren't happy about anything.

I've been to events at the cajundome with 20,000 people and getting out was more of a pain than leaving an LSU game with 100,000 people leaving at once.

People that complain are just snowflakes and can't be inconvienienced even the slightest bit without going into a full out melt down.

What time were you planning to arrive? You can get better help if we know this.

Please post where you’re parking. Trying to get out to river road takes a minimum of an hour after big games. Parking on the North side near Williams is an hour to get to I-10.
When you’re older like me, it takes a lot more time to get to your car, plus we don’t always get there early due to the fact it wears you out being there all day and staying late.
If you’re fortunate and have parking next to the stadium like us, getting out is still an hour if people stay.
Why do you think people leave?
It’s the parking/traffic situation.

Under the direction of the new Athletic Director, you can count on consistency in all respects. It will consistently cost you more money than is reasonable, it will be impersonal and it will be inconvenient. Just bear with it until you can get to the concession stands...

I have been a season ticket holder for the past three years and totally agree. I think you probably hit on why they are in traffic. They leave early.

PS We park on Dalrymple

Sounds like you are better off staying home.

Just because you are miserable doesn't mean you have to try to spread your negativity to people who are excited about coming, and asking for help.

You are clearly part of the arrive late, leave early crowd....so yes, staying home is your best option.

I've had no problems parking in the Kirby Smith/Band Hall area this year. For the Auburn game I got a spot on Chimes Street right behind Pleasant Hall.

Get there before 11am and you'll be able to park on the Old Front Nine, across from the Walk On's on Nicholson.

Free parking, and not too far. I've parked there for 5 years.

I’m not miserable while AT THE GAME PUNK. Just because I cant nor enjoy sitting and drinking all day like I used, doesn’t mean I don’t love the games. Getting in is easy for me .
In 50+ years, I left 1 game early - the 44-3 loss to Miami in 1988.

Hell, I stayed for the 2008 Troy game. There was no traffic after that one for damn sure.
