Other than money to install, is there any reason we should not have broadband wifi in Tiger Stadium during games? I know that many ball parks have it and it greatly improves the gamely experience.

I use ATT and have great difficulty texting anywhere around the stadium (impossible to call most of the time) and don't even try to use WatchESPN or other apps any more. Would love to be able to stay in touch while at the game.

Techies - how difficult and expensive would it be to get adequate wifi for 100K people?

So the game down on the field isn't quite interesting enough to hold your attention for 3-4 hours, huh?

Tech Addicts just gotta have their Tech Fix or they can't function.

Yall are no different than drug and alcohol addicts.

Jeez.

This is why the stadium was so much louder when i was a student in the 90's

No smart phones, no video board.

Just the band, a bottle of whiskey, and 80,000 friends.

Yes. I don't understand how better wi-fi coverage would "improve" the game experience. You're at the game presumably to WATCH the game. Why is there an absolute need for wi-fi?

While at the game I have no need to call anyone and chat (unless it's a family emergency). I'm watching a football game. Thus, no reason to surf the internet. Maybe it's because I'm from a different generation, but I remember being able to have a good time at games long before the days of the Internet.

By the way...THIS is s huge reason why the stadiums empty out early today. It used to be that you had no way to communicate with friends during the game. You had to make plans for what to do after the game BEFORE you went in. And because you couldn't communicate during the game you stayed basically the entire time. Otherwise, you would just be by yourself outside the stadium waiting for the game to end and your buddies to come out

I saw the U2 Joshua Tree tour this year, thirty years after seeing the original in Baton Rouge. The crowd engagement was completely different during this tour and I suspect it was because most of the crowd was on their phones during the entire concert. It was a dramatically different experience. I was amazed that people would rather watch the concert through their phones, take selfies, post on Instagram/Facebook, than watch the show they paid to see. It was so fricking lame. I have no doubt this is why a lot of gameday experiences are also diminished. If you want to go to the game, then be at the game.

Service has been great in the stadium the last 2 years...now all of a sudden this year it isn't for me.

Got hype before kickoff and couldn't get my betting website to load. Wanted to make some money.

Just call or text your boyfriend after the game.

I'm sure that LSU Information Technology Services would love to hear your complaints.

I have been saying for the last few years that society's attention span has decreased dramatically. It's why a lot fans leave early.

Verizon or Cox Media would need to do something (LSU sponsors).

It does enhance the experience.

If concessions suck and bathrooms, TVS are outdated, what takes priority?

I've sat in two spots this year, one the WIFI works great and the other spot lower in the stadium it didn't work at all.

It is improved this year compared to last year though because it works a lot better by my season tickets.

People wonder why the gameday experience isn't what it used to be and why the stadium isn't as loud but 7 out of 10 people are on their Damn phones throughout the game. Ridiculous. And I'm 31 years old and not just some grouchy old man that hates technology.

Let's compromise; wi-fi is turned off at kick-off.

It would be nice to follow the game the 45 minutes I’m in line for a flat coke.

don't even try to use WatchESPN

We’ve now gotten to the point where people will pay $100 to go to a game, but really only pay attention to key moments because they are busy watching other games on their phone.

Why not just stay home?

Well there's your problem. I use Verizon and can stream video during a game if I wanted.
