How long has it been since LSU has NOT had an offensive player that could possibly take it to the house anytime they touched the ball. I think this is another BIG part of the offensive problems this year, as much as OC and Off Line play.

First year in a long time LSU has not had the go to, bail you out type offensive play maker. Think about it, when an team prepares for LSU's offense, what player are they most afraid may beat them?

Exactly. We don't have any explosive offensive players this year, and I have no idea who we'll have next year.

Hasn’t been long Leonard Fournette was that guy we just didn’t have any creativity on offense when he was here and we still don’t

I completely forgot about Davis. Coming into this season:
Davis was the most experienced WR who was capable of taking the top off of defenses - gone
Ingram was our best returning OL - gone
Pettigrew was going to be our pass catching TE - out for season due to injury

Not saying that scheme isn't a HUGE issue, but I wonder how much of a difference these 3 would have made.

Davis could be a game breaker. Now, as it is, we have none.

Shame he and Ingram ended up the way they did. This offense has no real speed. None.

It took me a long moment to see it (and it appears most others missed it), but...

Kinda messed up, but I'll give you an upvote anyway.

We'll see. Terrace Marshall maybe as well.

Same can be said for kick returners. When's the last time we didn't have a home run threat returning kicks?

Pooka Williams would've been a nice fit on this team.

John Emery will be that guy next year. I also expect Marshall and Chase to take major steps forward after this season.

Jontre Kirklin. He was the talk of the town 3 weeks ago. Evidently CEO forgot about him.

Chark was that guy last season. Jefferson is the closest to game changer on offense this season but just doesn't have that kind of speed

seems that way. He doesn't waste opportunities... and that's what playmakers do.

I think Jefferson will make a nice little slot/possession receiver for the right team in the pros. But this OP is right, we just don't have a homerun hitter this year. I think Chase and Marshall have shown some flashes of being dynamic receivers. But we need a burner next year. This year we have a team full of single/double batters.

seems like Pettigrew was poised to break out into a big time threat.

Few people been saying Drake Davis. Did he have burner type speed like Chark?

We don’t have the elite speed we have always had, unless it is with inexperienced WRs.
No HR running backs.
Orgeron has not yet recruited a core group of elite offensive players and may never do so...
