Freshmen that are still under "redshirt" status

This isn't a list of who will definitely redshirt, just merely a list of freshmen who haven't played yet and can get a redshirt...

OT Derek Edinburgh Jr.
OT Jerald Hawkins
MLB Trey Grainer
OLB Lamar Louis
CB Kavahra Holmes
CB Derrick Raymond
CB Dwayne Thomas
I don't see the redshirts sticking on Hill, Louis or Thomas. I could see the rest taking a redshirt though this year. We've already played a boatload of freshmen. I think they wanted to redshirt Keehn but unfortunately Wing got hurt.

Thomas would play before Raymond IMO. I think the 2 OTs, dural, Holmes, and Raymond will be the only redshirts.

Already fixed before that, mixed up Raymond and Thomas.

Why wouldn't you redshirt Hill? We need another halfback like a dog needs fleas. We will be hard pressed to give the four we've got enough playing time, let alone another. I can see Hilliard and Ford going pro after this year which will mean we would need him next year.

Hilliards a soph. big guy. Knowing Kenny I really wouldn't be surprised if he stayed through his senior year as well.

I am not sure this is true. I believe in the first 3 games you can play a few snaps and still get a redshirt.
With that said I do not see many redshirts put on this freshman class.

Hill does not need to redshirt. He's already 2 yrs out of hs anyway isn't he? He's not fonna be here 5 yrs anyway.

The old rules allowed you to play in a few games, then choose to reshirt. The current rules do not allow you to take any snaps, then choose to redshirt UNLESS there is an injury. If you play in less than 30% of the games and suffer a season ending injury you can then MEDICAL reshirt for the year.
