I would LOVE to find a tape of that double-header regional win at A&M that same year.

What ever happened to Tigervision? I remember they were the carrier for LSU football vs. low profile opponents for many years. I think the Troy game in 08 was a Tigervision tilt.

Tiger vision got the boot (thankfully) when the SEC network was formed. Now, all SEC football games are on either ESPN or CBS

College baseball was very difficult to follow back in the 80's-90's unless you lived in the city.

I recall once seeing LSU and Oklahoma State on a mid-morning replay game on ESPN (1990 -- Mark LaRosa was pitching I recall). Then, I never saw another LSU game on TV that wasn't part of the CWS. I mean...damn, TV couldn't find a way to get that A&M/LSU regional in '89 on? 1990 was even better when we outlasted USC. I do not know why the dollars were not there -- nor the interest -- in that era, but we missed out on some damn fine baseball (even though I was at many of those regionals -- including 89-90). And Chris Guillot was NOT Superfan Stan back then.

The first regional/SR game I even recall seeing on tv was '99 Bama. Then, the following year we played UCLA. I also remember watching the '02 regional vs. ULALA and the SR at Rice on Jumbo.

This recording here -- primitive. We might as well have been playing in 1971.
