Right or wrong, changes are coming to LSU. Which direction those changes take remains to be seen.

So it’s the tennis team and admins that covered it up. Looks like football wasn’t aware

I have said all all my this isn’t on football. But, when your athletics dept is covering woman abuse and rape, you are screwed from an institutional level

Holy smokes. The appearance is devastating. If this is true those who tried to cover it up should be visited with a commensurate punishment

If he beat her then where were the police? Did LSU tell her not to report or tell the police don’t investigate?

Did any of these girls go to the police with their accusations?

If not, why not?

LSU’s athletic department didn’t report it until well after. Title IX laws say that any employee with knowledge of assault/violence must immediately pass that information to the police.

I honestly hope some of yall are really young

Women who are physically abused are completely broken. They usually first reach out to people they trust, not the police.

Y’all are fricking sick. Drake Davis is known guilty. Why the frick are y’all taking up for him?
Work on your reading comprehension. I never took up for Drake Davis. If it were up to me, he'd be in Angola.

the victim's credibility and behavior did more to undermine this investigation than LSU's incompetence. I agree some heads will have to roll for this but we are hearing one side of the story and LSU is doing some of these girls a favor by not releasing all the documents.

Drake Davis ADMITTED to the athletic department he beat the chick and they didn’t do anything get your head out of the sand, man.

Everyone piling onto LSU right now. However, the main common theme that keeps reappearing is who was in charge at the time. It seems we made a good choice in getting rid of F. King Alexander, Joe Alleva, and several other people from that time period. They were terrible for the university and athletic department all around, and it's good we got them out of here. However, LSU needs a better PR director right now to squash some of this #metoo, BLM, and other virtue signaling piling on that's happening in the press right now.

So, eventhough we know the girl was beaten, and she was telling the truth, you want to still talk negatively about her credibility?

Other posters also apparently think its ok she was beaten because she has pictures in a casino

Strange.

No shite

There is no hiding how awful the Drake Davis situation is. I cant believe Julia Sell came out yesterday and said she was never made aware. That was next level insane. Her doing that brought Jade Lewis into the public, and she can bury her for that

Ok but what stopped the victim from going to police? I agree that it appears LSU violated Title IX rules but it still seems suspect that if someone’s life is in danger that they will defer to school administrators to take the proper steps to protect themselves from further attacks instead of actually doing it yourself to make sure it gets done.

That goes back to my original point did LSU actively persuade her not to go to the police?

Kinda

When she approached her coaches, she was called a liar, and coaches told the other girls on the team she is trouble and stay away

Another LSU official, Verge, deleted messages where Drake Davis admitted to beating her

So it sure didnt sound like LSU was trying to help the actual athlete who was getting abused, does it?

For as good of a guy and Tiger Verge has been, he needs to be fired by the end of the week. Massive frick up on his end. No idea what the hell he was thinking. Plus I mean, covering up for a kid who couldn’t see the field whose father had already buried the basketball program...
