How in God's green earth could LSU get 0 pressure on the Demons QB with four down linemen?

I was worried about the o-line a month ago, but it seems that the d-line is the weak link in this team. They get nothing going up front. I assume other teams, esp the inbred gumps, will be allowed to hold all night long. But Geezus if they cannot toss around a lightweight team like this to get pressure on the QB, LSU's offense will have to be all world to keep the team in games.

Go ahead and flame away snowflakes.

Even with KLC and 1/3 of the starting defense out, this is still a valid question.

They are. And they’re going to keep getting better.

I agree. I'm not worried sick, but I'm definitely concerned. We'll have to be able to affect the QB against Florida, Alabam, and Texas A&M. If we have to do it via blitz, we'll of course be extra vulnerable.

Agreed. They stand straight up and look as though they're pushing practice dummies. The Texas game showed no pressure on the QB whatsoever. NSU was not much better vs a small school. There seems to be no technique being used. Just summo wrestling.

Yes, but our all world offense - which I absolutely adore - will struggle at times against Alabam. Florida and A & M play pretty stingy defense too. That said, I'm still not too worried. Most likely we will defeat those 2 in shootout fashion - fine by me. As for Alabam, I just don't wanna think too much about that mo fo right now.

Our down lineman aren’t the down lineman of 2003-2011.

There isn't a secondary in the world who can defend against a decent throwing qb when we let them set up with all the time in the world to throw. You have to get pressure to make them hurry up and throw something that isn't entirely open. Doesn't matter if it's little league, high school, college or pro. You have to make the qb uncomfortable or you won't win.

I don’t know who is pressing this Zone experiment, but LSU has always been known as in your face style defense. I wish whoever is fricking with our identity would fricking stop it

Can you imagine Tua with 3+ seconds to find a receiver? It is like the defense has been taken by the body snatchers. WTF?!

NSU firing off quick pass after quick pass definitively negated any pass rush that would have gotten there in the first half anyway.

Combine that with defensive personnel that came out completely flat for the first 30 minutes, and well, it is what it is.

The fact of the matter is LSU lacks elite talent on both lines. If that changes, we could be looking at a dynastic run in the immediate future.

Those things will determine whether LSU makes the playoff.
