We’ll miss them for Florida but that’s overall positive.

I’d expect Moore to miss the UF game, but I’d love to see him give it a go

Green has been very good but he is replaceable for a while since LSU is loaded with guys who can catch the ball. Not so with Braelin Moore who seems to be LSU's best OL and certainly light years apparently of a replacement center if Chester is the choice.

I guess we’ll know more tomorrow, but the early reports on these 2 injuries appear to be pretty good news

One-legged Moore >>>>>>> two-legged Chester.

I said the same in a thread earlier today.

Losing Green hurts, but losing Moore is a much bigger deal. I'm hoping the line is at least serviceable against Florida.

The good news, is With SELU the week after Florida, They can get another week of rest. I would like to see Moore back for SELU for the sake of Cohesion on the Line, but maybe he can have a light week, and get only a series or 2 against SELU. if not 100%.

Don’t need anyone against SELU lol. Shouldn’t even be allowed to play FCS teams but I wouldn’t risk a single starter.

Try to get Moore through UF knowing he has the next week off.

as long as it won't worsen the injury. High ankle sprains have a tendency to linger for quite some time.

I wonder how it differs with an interior lineman vs a skill guy. I remember it really messing with Flynn in 07.

Well, 2 things to remember here.
Offensive linemen are heavy and push hard, that’s a lot of force on that ankle.
However, you can basically tape an ankle until it is nearly immobile and a lineman can play on it.

A skill player can’t really play on a stump of a leg, at least not at a level that is anywhere close to his normal.

All that said, the severity of the sprain is the determining factor.

Depends on whether he gets the “tight rope” surgery or not. Tua was back after only 2 weeks to play us after the surgery. Makes one wonder if he tries to play through it next weekend, have the surgery next Sunday and take the SELU game off.

Whoa!

Why any of our skill players were still playing in the 4th against La Tech is mind boggling to me. Simply unacceptable
