Losing Walljasper & Hoover (other seniors), what is next season & beyond looking like for the Tigers?

Really not trying to be a dick (even though I'll be looked as one) but who cares? If you don't follow them yourself, why are you suddenly concerned? This thread is trying too hard.

Obviously huge losses in the circle, but we have a couple new pictures coming in next year as well as our two returners we should be okay kind of hearing we have a really good catcher coming in as well as a girl who can knock the cover off the ball. We may be down a touch next year but we will all be fine Beth will recruit and coach at a high level and we will remain a top program in the SEC

Maybe they're just a fan of LSU, maybe they're just now starting to get into softball and want to learn. For whatever reason they give a damn about LSU so maybe we should help accommodate them

How ironic being that this was a super regional.

Because I’m bored and I was just curious. Lighten the frick up.
I’m “concerned” about matters far too important for a sports message board. This is suppose to be for fun.

Most that watch Softball watch the postseason once they are fully engulfed in the baseball postseason. It’s a similar sport on at the same time. It’s an easy transition without following it all year.
The question is in good faith.

Why does that make you so angry? As a fan of softball I've only gotten into it in the last three to four years, but I've watched and learned as much as I could.... I say the girls need all the support they can get so why not welcome new people

LSU, unless they add a transfer will be ridiculously young/inexperienced in the circle. Only Maribeth has experience.
LSUs freshman and sophomores are a year older so that will help, they are by far the best hitters on this team.
Still, I do like our potential on the mound, Torina has a lot of options to work with, I’m confident they will do fine and hold their own! She gets the most out her pitchers.
Large recruiting class coming in, 8 people
New pitchers are Wickersham and Kilponen. Both have a lot of talent and recruited by a lot of top schools but it’s a major adjustment.
Taylor Tidwell and Georgia Clark are your power hitters. Clark is a stud hitter, played with Sunseri in travel ball.
Two freshman will compete for Emily Griggs last spot, Stewart is top outfielder out of Georgia and a girl named Karrington comes from California from one of the top teams in the country.
Lot of unproven talents, a lot to be excited for, but we got to improve at the plate overall and hit for a way better average, half the lineup below .250 hurts the consistency of this team scoring runs!
All in all, I think we see some kids step up and develop quickly in the circle next season but how far we go will depend on how much will this teams offense support them.

I’m looking forward to seeing Wickersham. I hope she can transition quickly. We need to find some hitters.

Thanks! Sounds like a rebuilding year especially with the pitching staff. SEC is so frickin’ stacked with great programs. I like Beth and feel confident she’ll keep the momentum going.

This post is why social media sucks. The most negative people dominate it

I don’t know any program in the country where you take away two all American pitchers and not be called a rebuilding year.
All good runs come to an end, the days Mack and Fico ended but it eventually got better. It’ll take time.
I may sound crazy but I’m honestly more confident in the pitching unit overall than the offensive unit for next season, even with all the unknowns. Torina will make it work, she’s worked with far less before.

I have ties to Mt. Carmel and have seen Jeff Wickersham's daughter pitch. I am optimistic.

Coming from an LSU alum that moved to another state, it’s hard to follow softball for obvious reasons (softball doesn’t get much coverage until the supers). So, not all of us get to talk/hear about them until the post season. However, seeing as they had been to 3 straight CWS, it’s nice to know any info insiders might know.

Well, you should try harder because you managed to come off as a dick in the worst way! Well done!
