Played is what happened to McMahon with Cenac. Signed with Houston last week and announced his commitment today.

Welcome to 1988.

Larry Ellison (80 years old) is married to a woman who attended Michigan while Brady Hoke was the coach, per Portnoy. This would make her 35 at the oldest and 28 at the youngest. So, some dumb bitch with too much time and money on her hands teamed up with a fricking midget from Boston to frick us over. Sick.

They offered his family a lot more money.

You'd sell this site in a heartbeat if someone offered you $12MM for it.
You might not have sold it for 6 million, but you definitely sell it for 12.

The weirdest part to me is nobody knew of Jolin Ellison’s existence before this, it was a secret marriage.
Secret marriage? I haven't heard that.
What's the deal?

Was this just a long con by his handlers knowing Michigan was not going to be good this year and it would drive his price up the further he held out.
absolutely...LSU got played...I am actually glad that LSU didn't try to match the Michigan offer.
You're smarter than this.
If they don't offer him that crazy amount of money he comes to lsu.
If Dave portnoy never does his video about buying a qb none of this even gets put in motion.

Larry Ellison has a net worth of Billions.
Could have had buildings or the entire stadium named after him. Instead he hands over millions to a high school player.
Hell he could’ve donated it to St Jude or Make a Wish

Portnoy never offered a dime until Underwood told CBS that he was hurt that Mich had looked elsewhere, than guys right there at home
Thats when Portnoy knew Underwood wanted to stay home

If he and the Ellison's think they can win nattys just by having a great QB, they have a lot to learn about football. With that kind of $$$ they should just by a complete team. Every position regardless of what the total expenditure is. Then they MIGHT win a natty or two. One player isn't necessarily going to get it done.

Thats WAY TOO MANY dominoes falling for weeks, for this to be a last second flip
$12M business deals with this many parties involved don’t happen “last second.” This has been in the works for months. A few things can be true at the same time. He didn’t “con” LSU but LSU was also not his first choice and where he really wanted to go.

You say It's been in the works for months...and yet he posted a "Commited" pic to social media just weeks ago...hmmmm

College football, with the current NIL situation and the free-transfer portal, is in bad shape. It's just a pro league now, but even worse, since players can jump from team to team EVERY year.
Situations like this are eventually going to put us over the tipping point. Once that happens, the school presidents and ADs who are fed up with the instability are going to initiate a move away from the NCAA and the schools. College Football will one day be a real second-tier pro league with a player’s union, contracts with minimum lengths and some kind of salary structure. Teams will license the names of the schools, mascots, and lease their stadiums, which will compensate the schools. I’m sure the ADs and presidents will get board seats or some kind of connection that buys them off. At that point, academics, Title IX, the NCAA, practice limits, etc are all gone.
In other words, the players will be completely fricked. They will still get paid, probably more than they are now, but the days of them having all the power will be over. They will be back to a world where they are locked in for at least a couple of years after signing day.
True NIL will simply become sponsorship deals direct with players. But the collectives- they will be out of business. Just like with NFL teams, staff and people associated with the team will not be able to provide inducements outside of a player’s contract. Companies will also be prohibited from using endorsements to steer players to or from a team. The fledgling player’s union won’t be able to fight these terms and so all of the leverage players have today will go up in smoke.
When this happens, we will have some stability again, but the sport will never be the same. But I think we all know that’s already the case.

Better players won’t get it done with their current staff. Moore is in way over his head. That’s why this is going to fall apart.

Maybe not directly, but you were definitely alluding to it.
LSU's offense (and Michigan's offense) had nothing to do with the Underwood decision.

Please show me all the support for the 12 million being paid to underwood can be supported as ordinary business expense. That’s ludicrous and any CPA crazy enough to try and claim that won’t be in business for long
To truly be able to claim million for his expense he would need to be working for the payers company in a normal way to support that pay in order to deduct it. You can’t just make beleive the millions paid to underwood is normal and deduct it
He can deduct only the actual “worth” of the work being performed. So possibly a 1,000 or so of the MILLIONS can actually be deducted from his business
If you try and do what you are claiming it’s tax fraud to the absolute max
