Just like if we were talking about Orgeron, you would be in here draining the "life" out of his balls.

Michigan offered more money and is a better academic school. It'd be a no brainer for my family.

Combined with not having to move and uproot your family? Not even a discussion.

How it is. College football ain't what it used to be.

There's nothing LSU offers that UM doesn't. Maybe gameday atmosphere but who cares.

Because people are taking the articles written and the above video as gospel… The media is not going to paint Bryce Underwood in a negative light

I have a theory. Brian Kelly did this to himself. He just got major media flak for dressing down Chris Hilton. Warranted or not....

Sure I can. You’re too stupid to warrant a response but it’s easy to do.

First off, LSU didn’t “put all its eggs in 1 basket for 3 years”. LSU recruited George Macintyre very hard. LSU also recruited and signed Colin Hurley, originally a 2025 recruit. Second, you tread carefully recruiting multiple top QBs at one time.

There was no “number” for underwood. His “number” was whatever LSU was offering for nearly a year. He turned down other offers from Michigan. He was all over social media preaching about turning offers down, being committed when you commit, all that bullshite.

LSU didn’t get complacent. Joe Sloan visited underwood 3 weeks ago. LSU rolled out the red carpet for him 2 weeks ago. LSU’s NIL attorney was communicating the day he flipped.

Absolute bottom line is that all the shite him and his family spewed went out the window when a billionaires gold digger wife caught a sudden urge to like college football. That’s it and that’s all.

Underwood, because of this will not succeed. I do not wish that on him but this is a bad omen. He is apart of something, above and beyond the NIL new norm, this is very very slimy. It's not just LSU fans saying it. It's everyone but Michigan fans saying it.

Going 11-12 the two years prior to BK getting here did that.

Care to rebutt any of my points? You can't.

I’m not the guy you responded to, but sure:
quote:

The criticism is putting all your eggs in the BU basket for 3 years

We took a QB in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Underwood has been committed since January 2024. In my way did we “put all our eggs in the BU basket for 3 years.”

If you want to say we put all our eggs in that basket this year, OK I guess. That’ll happen when you have the #1 QB and #1 overall player committed, who shuts down his recruitment and actively tries to help build the class. Kind of hard to get another QB commit when that happens, and kind of doesn’t make sense to use the resources there either.
quote:

and being so out of touch that they didn't see the flip coming if some team hit his number.

“If some team hit his number”? Really? That’s not what happened here. This isn’t Underwood saying his number is $2 million and LSU failing to get there. This is one of the wealthiest people in the world coming in 2 weeks before signing day and making an offer that was unheard of in CFB to this point.
quote:

Even if it wasn't Michigan, you knew someone was going to make a late run and throw the bank at him.

That’s a bold claim. If someone else had that kind of money available to pitch Underwood don’t you think they would have done it by now? This is a silly presumption.
quote:

LSU got complacent and it's probably going to burn them at QB this cycle.

How exactly was LSU complacent? Please be specific.

Was it complacency to not have another top QB committed - despite the fact that you aren’t going to get one when you already have the #1 guy?

Was it complacency to not have someone waiting in the wings when Underwood flipped, despite the fact that the top *37* quarterbacks are already committed elsewhere?

Was it complacency to not have our own $200 billion net worth guy with an LSU girlfriend ready to drop bags as a honeymoon present?

Get real.
quote:

The big picture issue is the reactiveness of BK instead of proactiveness. It shows itself repeatedly in his program and has since day one.

Typical from you. See, this is the thing that gets me the most - you’re a complete fricking tool who gleefully shitposts every time anything bad happens in football or baseball. Every single fricking thing you post about the football or baseball programs is some attempt to throw shade at Brian Kelly or Jay Johnson. Your opinions are worthless because they’re all stained by this weird arse agenda that you have.

LSU offers a better chance to succeed as a QB with access to better skill position players….you are an idiot if you don’t realize that.

Michigan offered more $ and the chance to stay close to home, if that is even what the kid found attractive.

In the end, without the world of NIL, Underwood is coming to LSU…although speculation, pretty sound logic to posit that.

article states that Mich became more appealing than LSU. That is correct since it included 12 million dollars. What a joke of an article. Article made it seem like Mich's team this year was a better look than LSU's team. Bull shite!

the people who bought Underwood are using the media to cover for the Michigan coaching staff. Who really completely failed his recruitment.

You said...

He wants zero part of the Kelly / Sloan offense.

To quote John Casey:

quote:

And you think the Michigan offense is better?

They've thrown for 200 yards just twice all season:

204 yards vs Texas and 208 yards vs Illinois.

They have also had 2 games where they failed to even throw for 100 yards:

86 yards vs Minnesota and 32 yards vs USCw.

Why would BU want to be a part of Moore/Campbell offense?

This deal has been done for awhile. Michigan didnt let Carter Smith go, without having Underwood locked up. Carter obviously wasnt getting the love back in October, and his advisors told him not to be left at the alter

And since Portnoy has been shaking these trees since Sept, he knew he could get Bryce hooked. Underwood's family just wanted to see how much they could get out of the deal. Anyone that wasnt emotionally invested could read the tea leaves for weeks now
quote:

Underwood, who grew up wanting to play at Michigan, not being made to feel like a priority

* Underwood vocalized being hurt that Mich didnt act like they wanted him, in Sept
* Portnoy publicly announces NIL money available, within days of CBS report
* 4-star QB decommits from Mich in Oct
* Connor Stalions goes to work at Underwoods HS
* Underwood starts visiting Michigan campus over multiple days, while still claiming LSU
* Underwoods request LSU current offer in writing

Thats WAY TOO MANY dominoes falling for weeks, for this to be a last second flip
