What is crazy is that Larry Ellison graduated from Illinois. It's the wife Jolin pushing the buttons here & got him involved in the Underwood recruitment. Dude probably gives zero fricks about Michigan. He's only doing it because of his wife.

The most absurd part of this is that Larry Ellison isn’t even a Michigan alum. Hell I don’t know if he even lives in Michigan. I’m pretty sure he lives on an island (that he owns) in Hawaii.
Instead, Larry Ellison only gives a shite about Michigan football because his 5th wife - who he apparently just married - is a Michigan alum and doesn’t want them to suck.

This is beyond dumb. Underwood had a staggering amount of offers. If the objective was about using LSU to drive up a potential NIL contract, why not commit to a school like Texas that is known to have more resources? Or a rival like Ohio St who were huge spenders last offseason? This long con copium theory is beyond ridiculous. Matter of fact, it sounds even more ridiculous when in throw in the fact that not long after Underwood committed, Brian Kelly had the quote that LSU was not in the business of buying players.

Good point. Also a huge part of this is Michigan sucks at football and has the worst qb situation in the country. Which is why Portnoy came out and said all that shite about paying for a QB.
