He can't throw strikes for the pitchers. 9 walks is unacceptable.

I know. He recruited and FAILED to develop those pitchers who can't throw strikes

Poor ol’ pasta sauce is just an innocent bystander in this comedy of errors!

Mainieri deserves plenty of blame. So does Dunn.

He recruited them, trained them, put them on the lineup card, and coached them during the game ... he’s more to blame than any other single person in the ballpark.

Also can’t run the bases or hit with RISP. Why do we even have coaches with this logic?

If for nothing else, starting Hal Hughes alone cost LSU this game IMHO.

For Christ sake, if we listen to that mentality, Curly Hallman & Johnny Jones would still be coaches at LSU. Have a downvote

So if they won its 100% on the players too?

Coaches are responsible for the good and the bad. They recruit these kids to campus. They are responsible for development. They write the names on lineup cards every weekend.

This is asinine. Alan Dunns shitty pitch calling is way more to blame than anything Hughes did.

Mainieri cost us the game, period. Peterson was CRUISING. He was burnt for tomorrow as well. One hit and takes him out.

Continuing the dumb coaching moves.

Inexplicable.

That cost us the game. Momentum and all.

You’ll get downvoted, but if you knew going in that Henry would limp to 2 innings pitched, you’d expect a loss. If Marceaux can perform up to snuff then we’ll see Walker Monday.

Does he get credit for winning the games which put them in position to be one of the 8 teams qualified to host a regional...? Or do you just have asimploistic one way street.
