I don't want the candidate who has never been a coordinator & failed miserably the one time he was given a HC gig but that doesn't mean I don't want LSU to win. LSU isn't ole miss, the LSU job is considered one of the top 8, maybe even top 5, jobs in America; this is not a job you hand over to the lifelong position coach, sorry. Let him go cut his chops, prove he's learned from the ole miss fiasco, & prove he can run a program & be successful THEN, when Jimbo retires or Herman gives it a go in the NFL, bring Coach O in. If the LSU admin, Alleva, is basing this HC hire only on Coach O's W/L record over 8 games....then we are in trouble.

I want to win but will not be too upset if we lose.
Sometimes you have to stumble to set yourself up for great success.
Orgeron is not going to bring glory to Baton Rouge. We will not win championships with that guy as our head coach and we will decline during his tenure.
Are people not sick of a dumb head coach who is clueless about strategy but can recruit? I know I am. We live and die by our coordinators, where as schools with great minds always have one side of the ball locked down.
Alabama will always have a great defense. Ohio State will always have a great offense. Florida State will always have a great offense. etc.

GOOD GRIEF ONLY THE DUMB LSU FANS WANT O. This is getting rediculous, why in the HELL would a school like LSU fire a NC winning coach, pay a $9M+ buyout, only to hire the damn DLine coach. They fired Miles to updgrade. Not downgrade.

Yes he did. Three weeks ago he lost to SMU while being over a 22 point favorite. He gained 303 total yards and lost 38-16 to SMU.

Aren't both of those coaches on their first HC gig? Herman is in his second year and Jimbo in whatever year but it's not a long tenure. At some point someone took a chance on them. I really do not care about the OC argument because it still was a risk.
