The Southern loss bothered me not because of the loss, it was the lack of effort. It was obvious the guys weren't dialed in. Other than that, midweek games are a chance to get some other guys some experience.

While obviously your stats aren't wrong....it seems that this board continues to want to bury the clear problems with this team (namely consistent hitting, our overstated pitching depth...yeah I know Marceaux came back but jeez he stunk the joint up, and heart/want to) in statistics.

That's a risky ledge to walk on.

First define consistent? Next How does our hitting compare to the rest of the SEC or CBB? I’m asks because I do not know. It’s easy to get up in your own team when they struggle.

But this is kind of making the perfect the enemy of good. You may have valid concerns but bitching every loss gets tiresome.

What you saw was so so team have a descent pitcher, throw a great game, with some favorable calls.

This isn't football where the good team is so big, strong, and fast the so so team doesn't stand a chance to win. This is baseball.

How’s the worst road record in the league affect things? Research that.

Do you have back up that we have the worst road record in the SEC. it’s certainly possible and that would not be good

Kentucky, SC and Bama are most certainly not looking good at 4-11/4-12 right now. What does that have to do with LSU though?

- CPM knows baseball, at a higher level than nearly any other coach in college baseball. The only school that even compares to accomplishing what he has is O'Sullivan at Florida. CPM is in the top 5 in wins among active coaches. No other active coach has more than 1 national championship to his name.

So in other words, one big fat fking excuse.

How exactly is a paragraph full of facts an excuse?

It's all fluff. Using facts from the past to try and justify and/or predict what might happen with this team....cmon man.

So using facts as evidence to support a claim that a coach knows what he is doing is foolish? Give me the facts that suggest he has no clue what he's doing.

Pointing out the history of what SEC teams have done to earn a position in postseason play is foolish.

Pointing out similar positions LSU has been in during past seasons is dumb, but just magically claiming to know the results of the rest of the games is perfectly normal?

Posting those facts does not mean it is a certainty that LSU will go on to earn a national seed, but it simply points out that it is not out of the question at this point. The entire other side of the argument is, "So and so sucks. So they can't win." Why is this so hard to understand?
