For long term LSU health, what record should we hope for this year?

Is this one of those NFL-like seasons where we hope the team finishes last to get the best pick?

In this case, LSU will be left with no choice, but to hire a new coach if we finish 3-9?

Best case is we fire Alleva and bring in someone who knows what they are doing and have them clean this mess up

watch out, because I've been accused of not being a "true fan" if I root for losses, so we can get a shitty coach gone faster.

Near the end, I certainly rooted for Miles to lose, when it became obvious he wasn't the right fit anymore. The same for Johnny Jones.

And I got blasted here for saying that, even though I'd argue that by enduring short term pain, we get better long term gain.

But the Tards on this board think it's NEVER good to root for a loss. Well, as is crystal clear right now, I'd be happy for any result that gets O gone the fastest. And I love the Tigers just as much as they do.

7-5 with a bowl loss.

Idiots in charge probably won't fire Zero or Amoeba this fast. So let's get the extra practice and development and somewhat salvage the 2018 recruiting class, so when we finally get a real coach the climb back to respectability isn't as steep.

Alleva is toast no matter what. No slaw extra toast, really.

All the national media guys crushing him and his Orgeron buyout is something he won't overcome. Once he is gone, the new AD will want to hire his own guy, because he will likely be competent and not want a guy like Ed O coaching here.

So, my realistic hope is that we go 7-5 this year and 7-5 next year, and then Orgeron gets fired.

Well, that does make you a shitty fan, and it certainly infects the fanbase with negativity. We are having a hangover effect from that right now.

If you truly think that we will lose, it will take care of itself. actively rooting against the team helps absolutely nothing.

For the record I think O already wrote his ticket for a departure in the next 3 years. Probably after next season. He won't love this loss down, and shouldn't.

Eta: the buyout sucks dick and has secured that O will also have a terrible legacy in Louisiana. People are gonna get him for taking a job he had no business doing.

Both the DL and OL are short players. LSU doesn't have 5 SEC competent OL now. DL isn't much better!
