For fun, how would you adjust the starting lineup going forward?

I like that Jay has tinkered a bit with the lineup to see who he can count on going forward, and who is hot. This would be my everyday lineup for the postseason:

1) Dugas (2)
2) Morgan (1)
3) Crews (CF)
4) White (3B)
5) Travinski (C) / (DH)
6) Thompson (SS)
7) Beloso (DH) or Milazzo (C)
8) Jobert (RF)
9) Pearson (LF)

Personally, I like having a fast and solid hitter at the 9 before the top of the lineup. I really like Morgan back at 1 and allowing Pearson and Jobert to hit (one will usually be hot).

Pinch runners/hitters: Kling, Jones

Pretty sure Milazzo caught yesterday because Skenes was on the mound. Expecting to see Travinski back at catcher and Beloso at DH today.
I like the idea of hitting Crews at leadoff to get him the most ABs and with his OBP.

I personally like this lineup:

Crews
Morgan
White
Travinski
Beloso
Dugas
Jobert
Thompson
Pearson

Not sure what you do with Dugas but he can’t lead off anymore. He’s been tough to watch at the plate as of late.

Morgan 1B
Crews CF
White 3B
Travinski C
Beloso DH
Dugas 2B
Jobert RF
Thompson SS
Pearson LF

Morgan
Crews
White
Travinski
Beloso
Dugas
Jobert
Thompson
Pearson

Im someone that doesnt look too much into the L/R flip flop at the end of the order, but this actually works with the L/R flip lovers.

Gotta love that power from 2-7 on the lineup I presented. Your OB% leaders are at the top, and power guys behind them.

Milazzo will only catch Skenes for the rest of the year. Travinski will catch every other game.

I’m good with that for a couple reasons. One is Skenes wants to throw to Milazzo and I am all for letting your ace choose the catcher he wants. Two odds are you are facing the other team’s ace so the game will probably be more low scoring so having a better defensive catcher is the smarter play.

No lol I noticed you had the same as well. I mean I think it’s the most popular option at this point in the season.

With multiple lefties I’d give Kling a shot in right. Beloso will have a tough matchup but Jones hasn’t hit a curve ball since the beginning of time.

Crews CF
Morgan 1B
White 3B
Travinski C
Jobert/Pearson LF
Thompson SS
Beloso DH
Dugas 2B
Kling RF

I think Crews is only batting leadoff to get him as many ABs as possible until he heats up and because he's still getting on base a lot even while he's not hitting. Once he heats back up I bet they drop him to 2 or 3 to try to get more guys on base before he bats

I really like JT and Pearson at the bottom to give us some pop to potentially flip over the lineup. Tre has historically shown to be reliable in the leadoff spot, you still get Crews/ White, followed by Hayden ( could be explosive) then fill in with Cade and Dugas who are more than capable of busting one yard or solid base hit anytime...Dugas just flat knows how to get on base... I can't see a better lineup to start a game. I do think eventually jones may get back a chance, idk.

Edit to say: given the situation I'm not against subbing kling or Alex for his defense; that said it would be completely dependent upon the situation.

I would never moves crews and white out of the 2 and 3 spot.

I think Pearson/Kling platoon based on the pitcher. Beloso at DH and if Jobert is heating up maybe consider Morgan at 1B. That last part is the one I have the biggest hang up with.

The lineup has a ton of talent, it just feels like they haven’t yet gotten hot at the same time. If that happens, we can cover up a lot of our bullpen deficiencies.

I also like Tommy Tanks at cleanup behind Crews in the 3rd spot as our RBI machine to drive in some runs.

Here's today's lineup:

I'd put Nippolt at 2nd and dugas/beloso at DH with trav catching. Since the second game of the miss st sets dugas is 4-31 (.129) and even though he went 4 for 4 in game one of that series, would still be 8-35 (.228)
