Who the hell cares if "owns" up to it? Does that make what he did OK?

If I killed a toddler walking down the street, but later admitted that I did it, and I'm really sorry, and that it will "never" happen again...does that make what I did OK?

Miles committed one of the worst coaching blunders in modern history. Not only that, his teams consistently under perform, and consistently play poorly.

The man keeps saying things will be "fixed". He said this year would be different from last year.

We're one realistic loss away from being sent to the Liberty Bowl for crying out loud.

I too think he is a good guy but he was hired to do a job, win football games.

If you give anyone 4 million a year I'm pretty sure they'll stay loyal as long as their paid. How many of the previous LSU coaches come to games or support LSU, very few. Plain and simple its a business and the end results need to be positive.

I love it when people tell me I'm an idiot and don't know squat about football.

Brother, saying it that way only proves who the idiot is....

Buda your a fricken idiot. That just shows you how much you know about the game of football if you think Les Miles is a good football coach. The stupid son of a buck looks absolutly lost on the sideline. Any time your football team is still making first game mistakes at the end of the year is a bad coached football team. His time is up as far as im concerned.

Joe Paterno went on the record last year about people like you and the way college football is now. He said that he had national championship years and years where he was scared they wouldn't win a single game. but he never was scared of losing his job and now that is the problem with college football.

People want to hang all their hopes and dreams on the fact that a group of teenagers win a game. tell you what, when your job performance relies on whether or not teenagers perform well (teenagers who are not paid, by the way), then you can bitch about losing your job for an 80-90% production rate (8-4, 9-3). till that time comes around, quit using that argument.

Chances are, most of the people on this board are not in charge of others, you are probably the peons(teenagers on team). As a person who had to manage a bunch of people, i can tell you, that shite ain't easy. You all have something you want to bitch about, someone in the company who has pissed you off, your pay isn't enough, etc...etc.

Miles has a better record than any other LSU coach. He is in charge of kids. Kids are unpredictable in everything they do. You cannot do better. Very few people can. LSU is in okay straits. They will win another NC.
And Saban will never come back. You people ran him off. And you will run Miles off. And every other coach. The reason? LSU fans cannot have a single coach for longer than six years. Except for Cholly Mac. And that story is disgraceful.
So Congrats, you have come full circle with a coach. Unlike great institutions like Penn State and Bama, you cannot support him.

Well, I would vote to fire Miles, but they would just hire another goober yankee who cannot say football. How many good coaches have gone through the program? Why can't we hire one of them?

Should have never went after him. He knew of his off the field issues.

Without RP, we don't win the 07 title.

He paid for his time spent on a scholly for that one game, never mind the notable impact he had as a swap in QB the rest of the season.

He was talking about the Ole Miss game. This is an old thread from November.

Saban had the whole system set up, all miles had to do was not mess it up.

That is right, when a problem comes up you deal with it and move on, every coach has to do it. But when his team is on the field they have to play at a high level, FROM START TO FINISH. Not in spurts.

Look at the program before he came, and now. It was all his vision, all his doing. The team is in no way shape or form what it was when he left.

I beg your pardon. We pay this joker nearly $4M/year. He is paid more than 95% of all CF coaches. A LOT of FB coaches would drool to come here. Coaches that know how to manage the game clock. Coaches that don't have a Big10 mentality of stubbornness about running the FB. Yeah, we can do better, much better.

LSU fans didn't run Saban off. Two things led to his leaving: 1)Skip Bertmann didn't want anyone's light shining brighter at LSU than his; and 2)Saban went for the money and his ego required him to try to have the same stature in pro football as Belichek. Before he left, Saban probably could have been elected governor of La.

yes I just hate a coach that can go 52-15 over several years in the toughest conference in college football, I'm sure most of you rantards could have easily coached Les's teams to a national championship every year, in fact most of you rantards probably would have a record of 67-0 if you were on the sidelines coaching
