Anyone that doesn’t realize the game has/is changing just needs to look at the latest staff positions; associate development coach & manager of applied sport science.
When i need to research what a coach’s task is, I realize I am falling behind the curve :-)
Of course I can remember when there were no designated coordinators on a staff !
I hope the youngsters in the program appreciate & take full advantage of what is offered. The change may not be recognized in a single year, but over time, each & every one should benefit.

Is Jack Marucci still with LSU? That guy is a legend in the athletic training world.

Ready for new football science but It still comes down to the coaching smarts of the staff and work ethnics and coming from ND I think the Tigers are in great hands

Almost zactly my thoughts when reading this news.
Another thought..."I sure hope they don't take fun out of football with all this science"

It seems like Kelly is taking an all hands on deck approach with strength and conditioning. Flint will be the main guy but several other guys have varying degrees/angles of experience there. I don't think that can be a bad thing at all.

Jack is no longer the head trainer, but he’s still very much a part of the program.

Do you realize they were doing that already? They are naming titles for people now. All schools have this

Hoping we keep all of them. LSU seems to have one of the best athletic training staffs in all of CFB.
