When he's on he's nasty. Just too inconsistent

Fontenot needs to get his degree for the future.

For a closer he's way too inconsistent. Guess he's the best we have though.

He’s had good outings he’s just had really bad outings too. You never know what you’re getting with Fontenot this season

“Too”

Edwards pitched well, but Arkansas was starting to zero in on him. I thought that Edwards needed to be pulled after the eighth. I wanted Fontenot on the mound and Hellmers warming.

Where was he in game 3 against Ole Miss. 2 Outs and NOBODY ON BASE. Giving up 8 runs from there is a travesty. One days rest and Fontenot should have been good for 30 pitches or so, maybe up to 40.

But besides that, based on what he's seen this year, Mainieri should always have his two best available arms warming up every inning after the 6th in a close game or one they're winning by less than 10 runs. Take no chances.

He was good for four batters against Ole Miss.
Then it got really hairy Thursday when he couldn't find the plate unless it was right down the pipe. If he can't hit the corners at 95, he probably shouldn't be throwing 95.

Plus frick Dunn for not calling more than two sliders last night.

he threw over 50 pitches on thursday, he wasnt going to pitch on saturday. It wouldve been borderline irresponsible to bring him back

Fontenot was dealing last year vs FSU. Wish he would somehow bring that magic back this year.

That FSU game was fricking awesome even though we lost Fontenot pitched his heart out, the best performance I've ever seen from him and I think he pitched over 6 innings that game.
