Now that we have seen 3 games and basically know all we need to know about every player, how would you set the lineup?

I think our best lineup looks like this:

1) Crews CF
2) Doughty 2B
3) Morgan 1B
4) Beloso LF
5) Wyeth DH
6) Arnold SS
7) Dugas RF
8) Thompson 3B
9) Milazzo C

Crews in center since Gio is hurt. I think doughty and Morgan have both hit the ball well despite their numbers. Wyeth looked really comfortable at the plate and I think you try to play beloso in left to get Wyeth in the lineup.

At some point you need to move Crews to the 3 hole.

I’d put Morgan at lead off. He has the best approach on the team,

Crews had to be up with RBI chances. Hitting behind Milazzo isn’t going to do it.

I think I’d like to see Morgan lead off for a couple of games to see how he does. He’s patient so he’s going to see a lot of pitches. Finds the barrel more often than not and has enough speed to be a threat.

I’d like to see Crews in center and Drost in right field.

Dugas in left and Beloso remaining the DH.

Arnold and Thompson should keep SS and 3rd locked down unless they start struggling. They both seem to be bright spots both with the glove and bat.

Milazzo needs to get back to form. He lost focus a lot tonight. He’s still your best option at catcher defensively but if he keeps up the mental lapses that he had tonight then it’s time to get Travinsky some starts.

Wyeth is just a damn good backup and I’m happy to have him.

I’m fine with Crews hitting leadoff but if you’re going to do that then you’ve got to put a strong hitter in the 9 hole. I think Gio is a perfect 9 hole hitter for a leadoff of Crews when he’s healthy.

Until then either Morgan needs to go to leadoff while crews bumps to the 3 hole or someone like Arnold needs to bat 9th.

I think you need him there for his speed, but he went all Doughty this game, hitting it right at someone, although he hit with some power; not cheated, so the law of averages should even out. But, Arnold’s poise at the plate is better IMO. Arnold , Morgan, and Crews looked like Veterans out there compared to the rest of the team, with Thompson closely following. It’s not as bad as the first few games had it looking; this team has some talent....

I like Morgan in the 2 hole. If the lead off doesn’t reach he can go the other way for a hit. If they do reach he can hit behind the runner and move them.

I was impressed with Sanford tonight. Morgan has solid speed and makes great contact. Seems like a good leadoff option.

1. Morgan 1B
2. Doughty 2B
3. Crews RF
4. Beloso LF/DH
5. Dugas LF/DH
6. Arnold SS
7. Thompson 3B
8. Milazzo C
9. Sanford CF

I like your lineup but would try Crews in center with Sanford in right.

I would like to see Travinski get a look at DH. I think he has more upside than just about anyone and could make a difference in the middle of the order, but he’s going to have some swing and miss and I don’t know if you can get him enough ABs to work through it.

You're pulling Beloso out of the lineup?

No it would be tough to find him those ABs for sure. It probably isn’t going to work out unless a couple guys under perform or he just smashes in a spot start here or there and forces someone else out.

ETA: It was more of a “I’m curious to see if he can consistently tap into his power which is immense” than a “he definitely needs to be in there based on what we’ve seen so far.”
