Firing Alleva would send a clear message to coach O

Unfortunately I agree that we can't fire O after one year. But if we fire Alleva the message will be clear: daddy's gone and now there's no one to cry to if things keep going south. So either turn it around immediately, no excuses, or you're gone.

One of two things happen: It's lights a fire under him and, just like when he was the interim, he realizes that he's coaching for his job and we see the improvement that we crave.

OR

He just gives up altogether, things get even worse, and firing him is that much easier.

WIN WIN.

I didn't think it was possible but when the national media starts talking about it, then I've actually began thinking there's real possibility he's gone if shite don't get fixed. And then I thought about it some more and realized he ain't gonna fix shite so he's gonna be gone after the season. Couldn't think of a better way to use $12M baybay!

I think he's just following the Charlie Weiss model.

He collects buyouts not to work. He conned his way into this job, and will collect his buyout for 3 years after he's fired.

The real problem is Alleva...he must go. He cannot be allowed to damage this athletic department any further

Forget about O, he will fire himself after he goes 3-9. Book it.

Fire Alleva.
Hire top notch new AD.
Make game day experience great again.
?????
Fire O if program doesn’t turn around.
Allow new AD to hire replacement.
Win and profit.

Orgeron is laying the groundwork for his own demise.

If the inane statements keep coming forth from Orgeron, and the football team continues to flounder, Alleva and the BOS will have absolutely no choice. The overall loss to the University and the financial hit on the community will supercede any buyout.

Firing Alleva also sends a message to potentially interested parties that LSU is serious about righting the ship. I mean, with all the mismanagement by Alleva and our embarrassing business all over sports media, who wants Alleva as their boss?

Accept for this guy, of course.

What good does it do to send a message to Ogeron? He is still an incompetent oaf.

O is completely incapable of turning it around. I’m sure he’s trying his best, but he does not mentally have the capacity to turn it around.

O only has two allies on the campus, and that is Alleva and King. If the LSU Bos gets rid Alleva, O virtually loses a majority of his protection. He would be essentially be a lame duck. The firing of Alleva within the next two months is critical.

This thread is so stupid. O has a message for you and everyone else. And that message is that LSU has made him financially secure.

If anybody thinks that Orgeron cares, they are mistaken. The guy actually thinks he earned the job and got the winning Powerball ticket courtesy of LSU. An unemployed DL coach that was the worse head coach in OM history can now do nothing and retire thanks to the moronic decision makers at LSU.
