Do we all agree that Finley is the starter this week? I like Johnson’s game and I think his best days are ahead but it seems he’s limited to a runner/game manager currently. Finley has a little bit more upside as a passer, which is gonna be necessary in what will most likely take a shootout to stay in this thing.

Johnson. History has shown that Saban has a harder time with QBs that can scramble. Remember Johnny Football.

Whoever starts will be running for his life...so maybe Max has a better chance to make that into something?

I say both. I think we sneak in Max for some Taysom Hill packages. Bring in big Tory and pull backside guard out of the wildcat formation a couple of times and then set them up for a deep pass. Keep them guessing and off balance like Ole Miss did. Hurry up offense at times and let them play. We had 2 weeks to prepare, let's see if our coaching staff is great or complacent to do what we've done all year. I've had a lot of coffee this a.m. and am excited in my own mind.

I like Johnson overall, but let's be real: he is much better on his feet than Brennan or Finley, but he is not a great scrambler or running threat.

We don't have enough tape on Johnson to determine whether he can be a great runner or scrambler. I would like to see him in a scramble/ pass senerio like Auburn used with Marshall several years ago. They killed with that play.

Start with finley when he cycles through his series or he gets to a situation where johnson's skill set gives you more options switch it up and get with max and his script. While one is in the other needs to be on sideline looking at his next script dialled in by OC? Limits play calling from changing play to play, but it will take better advantage of the guys skill set.

That makes sense to me, look the the successful 2qb systems we have seen. Normally one is a athlete and he needs to be in at goal line/3rd n short etc. Both dudes can play use them both. Jmo

How on earth can you make such broad assertions with such a small sample size?

Have emery take snaps in the wildcat all night. I say we don’t get our qbs killed and get their confidence torn to shreds against Bama.
