Yeah that's bad. I'll agree with not leaping burrow to #1, but to not have him in the top 5 would be asinine

Goes to show the “heisman race” isn’t about stats at all, it’s who the media wants.

Burrow went on the road against a top10 team and still puts up better numbers

Disagree. He can be beaten by Joe or Hurts orTua, even if Clemson goes undefeated.

Doesn't really matter what anyone says about the Heisman right now. Fournette looked really good until Bama game. Lots of games left.

re: Finebaum on sportscenter talking heisman
Why should the year before have any significance on the current year when it comes to stats?

Sure if the guy had some off the field or legal issue prior to the season weigh that, but previous stats should never influence an award based on one season.

I'd only take a serious look at this after Florida. If Joe is still hovering around the 75% completion rate and has thrown 20+ TDs and -5 ints he will be in the top 3. Then it comes to the performances down the stretch.

Burrow has everyone on notice, but the likes of Finebaum want to be convinced. He needs to keep it going.

It doesn't matter, ESPN decides who gets the Heisman.
Fake Media is and always has been in control.

that's why you play a full season. in all honesty, one game should only get him in the discussion. not hand him the title. but if Burrow's game play is the reason the tigers can win the west/SEC champ game then he should be at the top of the list

I never understood how you can be in the lead, have one bad game, and not even be invited to the ceremony. Yeah Bama shut him down but literally everybody in the world knew Les was going to hand him the ball the majority of the game.

re: Finebaum on sportscenter talking heisman
Way too early to worry about a meaningless trophy
Bottom line - Burrow candidacy will come down to what he does in the Bama game. Big performance and a win in that game is what it will take to win a national title and odds are you will have to go through Bama twice to win a title.

What does last year have to do with this year's Heisman. Finebaum, like ALL of the other talking heads is just a tool for the ptb. Yes that includes Marcus Spears.
