Finebaum called out Bama and Saban. Saban called out fans for leaving early (sound familiar). Finebaum's reply was "it's a free country" and Bama needs to stop playing these cupcake teams if he wants fans to stay.

Herbie said LSU is a legit contender and that Brady is a future HC. Not OC, but HC. We better lock that young man up to a nice contract and OC position soon.

It's true.

Times have changed. People simply have better options than standing in 97 degree heat watching a one-sided contest with absolutely zero suspense or drama. The football players are well taken care of. I'm sure they can handle fans leaving.

Maybe it's time that the sport evolved a bit. Maybe we don't need 12 regular season games. How about 10, and we can cut 2 of the rent-a-wins which are nothing but dead weight on the schedule and - if we're being honest - are nothing more than an excuse to tailgate and party.

The solution is more conference games, mandating that you can't schedule FCS teams for OOC. It's a good idea to have an opener or early game with a Group of 5 program. Two legitimate P5 OOC, intersectional games would be great. People would still leave early and attendance may continue to drop. The society and culture have changed.

Go back to 11 games like it was a few years ago and with FBS teams only playing FBS teams. Eliminate the conference championship games and cut the number of "non-playoff" bowl games thereby creating more incentive for success. Have a 16-team playoff which means the final two will play a total of 15 games (just like today).

Could be said to every AD at a top 25 school.

Going into week three and only two games of value and consequence have been played. Oregon/Auburn and LSU/Texas. I guess A&M/Clemson had some initial value but, not really.

Big 10 teams generally skate trough the month of September.

It's a shame when you search for good matchups and find nothing.

You can’t hoard assistant coaches forever. Maybe Ensminger hangs it up in 2 years and Brady gets the OC gig. But the guy isn’t from here and doesn’t have any reason to stay longer than he wants if he thinks he can do bigger and better things. He is years away from being a HC because he really hasn’t had many jobs in general.

Coach O has assembled an amazing coaching staff. Get ready LSU. After this season, they comin..... (after your coaches).

I say.....sell the farm and throw the checkbook at your coaching staff.

I smell a Natty!

Herbie is thinking like me. That’s why I say give him the same contract as Aranda and make him the head coach in waiting since coach O is 58 years old. When he retires Joe can take over. Of course most head coach in waiting never works except jimbo Fisher at Florida st.

The good thing about having Ensminger as OC is he doesn’t make a whole lot of money compared to the top P5 coordinators. This can give us the chance to name Brady co-OC after this season and give him a big bump. Or maybe SE retires after mentoring JB this season and SE goes into a consultant role...

I'm really surprised that PF called out Saban on that. First of all, if a bus were to hit NS while I was eating an ice cream cone, I would continue to eat my ice cream cone. That's not because he wins, it's because he's a jerk to anyone who asks him something he doesn't like. Having said that, NS specifically said that he would rather play a better opponent every week. They can only play teams that agree to play them. It's not like he is running from it. Maybe he should ask his fans to act like rational people and provide a hell of a tailgate like LSU does. How many opposing teams fans come to the rant looking forward to the tailgate?
