Mike Leach recalls memories of his first trip to Tiger Stadium (as Kentucky OC in 1998):

That Kentucky game in 1998 can go to hell. We lost so many games that year at the end it was heartbreaking due to Lou Tepper.

It’s his natural habitat. It’s also a throwback to the Romans and gladiators. His parade and roar were a traditional anthem of the home games.

I’ve heard tales of players being a little intimidated as they left the locker room seeing Mike in his cage.
Mike looked pretty aggressive in that gif. I might believe the tales now.
