2011 excluding the title game

That was one of the best college football teams of all time. We beat everybody we played on our schedule

2011 (regular season)was the most fun to watch. I felt like we were dominant and hitting in all cylinders until the qb change derailed us. The schedule that year was great too.

2003 was great too because we didn't realize how good we were and everything fell into place.

2007 has to be the most frustrating national championship team ever. Such a roller coaster ride.So much talent and it seemed every game was closer than it should have been. But u can't complain about the result.

2007 was just bizarre. Beyond the crazy LSU games (Auburn, UF, Bama, Arky, Kentucky), the upsets taking place around the country made it so exciting. Even when it seemed we were out of the running, another team would lose and we'd jump over them again.

We needed Mizzou to beat Kansas and Pitt to beat WVU in the regular season finales, Oklahoma to beat Mizzou in the Big 12 title game, and then we had to beat Tennessee in the SECCG with Ryan Perrilloux taking over for an injured Matt Flynn for LSU to possibly jump from #7 to #2. And it happened.

i'm a little biased because it was my freshman year, but 2007 takes it...

VA Tech - Gameday was fun and the domination was too much
Florida - BEST GAME EVER!! beating Tebow, making him cry, the USC announcement was unbelievable
Auburn - poor game for us in many areas, but D Byrd in the corner was amazing
3 OT losses - heartbreaking, but it was okay because of the revolving door at #1 that season with all the upsets
Tennessee - got to go with my buddy because of Dr Pepper and it was an awesome game
Ohio St - nuff said

that was an amazing season where even the games not on our schedule were awesome, and they all meant something

its a toss-up between 2007 and 2011...

'07 was just an incredible year, started off with the complete drubbing of Miss. State in their house on a Thursday night, then the next week we completely annihilated VT. The two-losses cam in heart braking 3OT style but the Byrd catch against Auburn, the 5/5 on 4th Down against Florida, plus Dan Borne announcing the USC score, I've never heard the stadium louder...(except for maybe Bama '12 when Landry made the TD catch)

2011 was great, but '07 gave us the hardware, the heart attacks and the fun.

and hearing the "O-H-I-O!!" chant die mid-game during the Natty in person was great too. one of my favorite games I've ever been too outside D.V.

My vote -2007

For the 2001 apologists... we got owned by Florida.. over 20 points if not corrected and lost at home to Ole Miss.. Great end of a good season.

For the 2003 apologists... close.. very close.. we were losing to UGA with less than 4 minutes due to our great defenses inability to stop a screen pass inside Georgia's 20 yard line. The SEC CG was awesome. We should have beat OU by 20 and claimed both titles... We played defense to win and we did.

2007- Should not have lost to UK.. dont know how that happened to this day. The Arkansas game had us worn out and they wanted it more. Plain and simple. The fact the 2007 team was down 10-0 to Oh St and came back to dominate puts them #1 in my book. The Miss St, VT dominance and come back win against AU, Bama and UF make the 2007 our best ever.

This. Starting the game with an onside kick. Nobody expected that. Saban was one of the worst at being overly conservative and he came out with a little trickery against the master at trickery to start the game. It's almost as if Auburn never recovered after that.

The way the whole thing shook out too...

9/11 forced this game into the last of the regular season, etc.

2011 was LSU's greatest team ever though. Wheels came off LSU's offense in the SEC championship game against UGA. No changes were made for the national championship. That was the worst our offense had looked the entire season.

2011. such an impressive season basically running through a bunch of top 10 teams throughout the year. still think they would of been remembered as one of the best teams ever with a win in the title game because of the schedule and the straight domination in the mighty SEC

Would have easily been 2011 but 1/9 ruined it.

That's ridiculous. We lost to Kentucky and Arkansas at home. Les Luck doesn't count!!
