We have found our qb in Max Johnson. My friends both Georgia and Florida fans are kinda worried that we have found our next Lefty Burrow. I am not going there but i like our chances with Max getting better in the future. If Max puts up similar numbers this week against Ole Miss and we win i think he is our #1 qb next season over Myles and TJ. I want to see how he handles the pressure of being the starter this week and I think he just gives us the best chance to win due to him being able to run unlike Myles and Tj. Also he seems like a leader something I don't believe Myles is due to his demeanor and his quiet nature. Anyway lets finish this season at 5-5 and reboot

If Brennan recovers, they will split duties with Max being our Taysom Hill at QB based on the situation.

Max is nowhere near as athletic as Hill. That’s a ridiculous comparison. And no team running a 2QB system has ever won anything

I'm not saying a full fledged 2QB system, but 1 where we run Max in when the situation is there to give them a QB run possibility.

Myles won't be running anymore.

It’s not a secret that Max looked the part of an SEC QB in his first ever start. If Myles doesn’t come back healthy he is the guy. Anyone who thinks different is lying to themselves.

Brennan, assuming health, will be our starting QB next year.

And honestly, I think Nussmeier beats out Max Johnson before 2022.

Wait a minute. What day is it? October 25th?

I remember these same post after Finley's great performance vs. South Carolina. The fanbase had already assigned Brennan to the transfer portal and Finley was possibly on pace to win the Heisman trophy. Perhaps as early as next year!!!

Johnson had a good game. But how about we let the kid start more than one game before we anoint him the "next Burrow". Or, if he struggles this week, cast him to the trash heap with all eyes on the incoming freshman that just signed today.

He looked good, but it was one start. Finley looked good in his first start too. Let's not unrealistically build him up just to tear him down later.

a healthy Brennan is still our qb. you people are carried away. Max has a long way to go on going through progressions and reading defenses. His running ability is great but he is not as good a qb as a healthy Brennan is.

We literally won a national title 13 years ago running 2 QBs

Also Chris Leak and Tim Tebow say what’s up

For what it’s worth I’m with you though- I truly think if Myles is healthy then the job is his but Max is extremely talented and may up being the dude. We’ll have to wait and see

Max may not be as good now. But he may be by the time fall comes. To not think this is possible would be absurd. It'll be close
