Pitching is super suspect. Offense will be okay.

Feduccia continues to impress

Is there a reason I've only seen Feduccia play with the starters once.

Thought he was the leader to replace Pap even before summer

Feduccia has played with the "starters" for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th scrimmages. I'm guessing he will be with them the next scrimmage.

Reid seems to be struggling at the plate

Will Cabrera hit 3rd or will he put Dupy there?

Duplantis has been in the 3 hole every scrimmage. Cabrera has batted in other spots. I'm guessing that Dup will be batting third when the season starts if all goes well till then.

Thanks Scuba! Appreciate you posting despite being absent. I was at the scrimmage today and the only 2 corrections I see is that Webre had a double into the left field corner with no SB. Also LSU Baseball data(on Twitter) had Smith at 2-2 and not 1-2. I think 1 of his hits could have maybe gone either way(hit or error) but as I remember it, it was a base hit. Other than those 2 everything else looks pretty accurate!

I think DC will fit better in the 3 hole. More power and gap potential then Dup and he rarely K's. Dup also doesn't K much but seems like a prototypical 2 hole guy! DC seems like the prototypical 3 hole guy IMO. Gap to Gap pop with some power. My bet is by the start of spring or not soon after DC will be hitting and holding down the 3 hole.

This surprises me. I love having Rankin in there but I just didn't see him as a 2nd baseman.

What's the book on webre? Can he play multiple positions or is he a 1b all the way?

Feduccia has been really good but I think Doolittle deserves a good hard look. He has big time raw power at the plate and looks pretty strong behind the dish. Feduccia looks like the more polished guy overall though, I think both will get opportunities to show what they can do early into the spring.

This is the first time I have posted scrimmage results that I didn't see for myself. There will always be disagreements on subjective calls. I'm just reporting from the info I received. Sorry I missed the scrimmage.

As for Cabrera in the 3 hole, I agree that he seems like the better choice at this point. CPM likes some Duplantis and I think he will be difficult to dislodge due to his experience and he seems to be able to put the ball in play when needed. CPM loves the hit and run.

He was a stud OF in high school. Made some unbelievable plays in state championship 2 years ago.

Webre played outfield the first 2 scrimmages. The "non starters" need someone to play 1st and Webre is it since then.

I expect Coomes to compete with Bryce Jordan and others for 1st base.
