Explain Michigan's baseball success
Was told they now send the team to Arizona for fall/winter practice. Vs staying indoors, playing less games. If true I assume was huge boost to recruiting.

Just imagine if they had the greatest of all time CPM. They would be even better.

Instead they have that young dynamic motivator that all Michigan kids love playing for.

Random luck like Coastal Carolina. How long do you think it will be before they repeat?

Baseball is a game of being hot at the right time. That’s what Michigan did, they got hot at the perfect time

Put this Big 10 team in the SEC west and they don't mave a winning record.let alone make the playoffs. They barely made it this year. Flash in the pans.

re: Explain Michigan's baseball success
Hell, it's pretty simple. They pitch well, they field well, they don't make stupid mistakes on the basepaths, and they hit the ball when runners are on base/in scoring position, which means they get time hits to score runs. They have good plate discipline, they don't swing at bad pitches, they make contact without trying to hit a home run on every swing. They're a well coached, disciplined team...unlike LSU. They won't beat Vanderbilt for the national title, but they will make it go 3 games I believe. It's crazy how a well coached team can beat more talented teams huh? How do you think the Michigan team would be right now if CPM was their coach? My guess is that the probability of them even beating ucla in the supers wouldn't have occurred. Athe the very least they have brought back a sense of respect for the big 10 in baseball, which nobody would have expected to happen. They could beat vandy, I guess, if they had their best performances as a team and vandy just overlooked them and didn't play to their capability, but like I said, I just don't see them beating Vanderbilt 2 out of 3 to win it all. Still, it is a more than respectable showing this postseason for Michigan and the big 10. I wouldn't mind giving their hc a look for LSUs next baseball hc after manieri is gone next season. Geaux tigers.

re: Explain Michigan's baseball success
They are one of the last 4 to get in the tournament coming so let’s not act like they were better than LSU all season long. They started playing really good baseball at the right time. It helped they travelled to Oregon State and never had to play them as well. What they have done in the super regionals and Omaha has been great.

re: Explain Michigan's baseball success
same way you explain Coastal Carolinas success a few years back, or Stony Brooks success a few years back. Just the law of averages suggest that every so often, a team from a conference that isn't traditionally a CWS feeder will get in and make some noise.

if you are asking about specifics of what Michigan is doing this year, i have no clue.
