Saban's an arse, a complete arse, they...don't...come...bigger. An assistant coach can only handle being around such an arse for so long, then it gets old and fast.

Maybe Canada thinks Orgeron's an arse.

I can't imagine he was too thrilled with having a d-line coach fricking up his offense.

And your talent for reading people has you fully convinced that Orgeron isn’t? No one on this board knows that for certain since we don’t make a living working for him.

I’m not a big fan of O’s hire... but consider this:

One of the men has a reputation for being a passionate relational/people person.

The other has an extensive track record of job hopping on short notice and conflicts with admin/leadership.

Yes but it is probably not an either are situation - Both O and Canada are partly at fault.

Canada has been job hopping (according to his own resume)

O states that he interfered and has made some odd statements to the media (more than once since getting the head job)

Just my take - Both are at fault.

In the best interest of LSU I think they need to make it work.

There’s a reason Coach O wanted to pay them the amounts they’re getting. Not just to lure them, but to keep them. These guys are getting paid near or more than head coaches at smaller universities. They would either have to really not like it at LSU or really want to pursue a HC position in order to leave for those jobs. Otherwise, it will have to be a school in P5 that can afford to pay them better.

I wouldn’t exactly be shocked if Canada left. But I still think the chances of him staying are better than him leaving.

Started off on bad terms but appeared to work things out well I thought.
