There are none with this D. We have experienced 4 and 5* talent all over the field.

I don't know. We haven't had anyone step in to replace Devin White, the DL is still thin, and the transfers really affected how deep the secondary is, not to mention injuries. We only go six deep on the DL, when in our dominant defensive years, we usually went eight deep. We also have three freshman on the 2 deep in the secondary, and aren't really all that deep at safety.

I saw Frazier, but he was a part of possibly the greatest college team ever. He had a great team around him.

Yeah, I don’t know enough to say it’s coaching or talent or depth or all three. I just know this defense will be a problem in the playoffs.

How many of those 45 teams are in the top-10 offensively?

Don't know, but apparently Jacoby Stevens doesn't care

Yeah there is a level of truth to this. We score extremely quickly and put no pressure on our own defense. Sure we could be better and didn’t even seem to be trying at time last night but it is what it is.

Is the 2020 defense going to suck more?

Depends on what position you consider Stevens.

People keep saying this, but we held Bama to 1 offensive TD in the first half and jumped out to a 20 point lead in their house.

Held them to 14 through 3 quarters. Think about that for a moment. Alabama’s high powered offense was held to 14 points for 3 quarters. That’s pretty fricking good.

Yep. But unfortunately, there are 4 quarters

2) UF '08 (nope)

3) Us in '06 or '07. (Nope)

That's exactly how Jacoby Stevens feels

What's your definition of "elite?"

Every team I listed except us in '06 won the natty. That's not elite?

FTR. we're probably ahead of Clemson in 4Y recruiting. We have talent. Lots of talent on D.

If Dave's scheme is so talent intensive, maybe he needs to rethink some things at the college level

With folks injured, disciplines, and some leaving the team it is a makeshift defense and as a result there is little team chemistry on the D side of the ball.

We lost players from time to time. Almost every team does. But nothing that's happened this year explains what we see.
