-We have 1 healthy d-lineman
-We have 1 above avg. SEC LB'er
-We have no healthy safeties
-Todd Harris was a "glue guy" on the back end and we have missed him more than anyone understands
-Divinity loss changed our whole dynamic
-Aranda has been bad scheme-wise during the last few games
-Stingley is still a freshman

Thoughts?

You left out that the AC was turned off in the locker room.

People keep saying this, but we held Bama to 1 offensive TD in the first half and jumped out to a 20 point lead in their house. We were up 31-7 at halftime yesterday. The first half defense in both of those games is part of Aranda's scheme.

The only bad call he made was going man coverage at the end. Aside from that, Bama just has WR that can beat our CBs.

The Ole Miss second half, saw a shitload of missed tackles and bad angles. That's not scheme. That's the defense getting complacent in the second half because we were up by 4 scores early.

I am no saying Aranda's been perfect, but damn, you guys act like he is the second coming of Peveto.

So I'll note that Aranda bullet as excuses for you? I wasn't saying everything I listed was true. That's why I put those qualifiers on it.

Given the opportunity the coaching staff will stymie the offense to bleed the clock.

Kind of like taking the Ferrari to make groceries. This offense is designed to go full throttle.

People refuse to acknowledge what is as plain as the nose on your face...spread offenses rarely have dominant defenses. I don't need a bunch of stats...I watch

Aranda found himself with 4-5 in the box at times and got gashed. Inexcusable against a one-dimensional running QB.

Or genius for OSU

Expecting not to give up 400 rushing yards is not expecting a dominant defense

I was thinking about this last night. Tepper, 2008, 2013...I think this one might be the worst of all. At least 2008 could stop the run.

I don't even know if it can be argued that our D played undisciplined, uninspired football last night and really a good part of this season. I will say this though 9 & 10 are different kinda cats. They are going to create havoc for SEC defenses for the next few yrs. I don't think we've ever played a team with 2 dudes in the same backfield that were that fast.

2008 (only Curtis returning in the secondary) and 2013 (following the early exodus from 2012, i.e., Mingo, San, Logan, Minter, Reid) had a valid excuse.

There are none with this D. We have experienced 4 and 5* talent all over the field.

What do I win?

(Deep breath but here goes):

1) Clemson '18
2) UF '08
3) Us in '06 or '07.

You never saw Tommy Frazier play then. Teams had trouble stopping that one dimensional QB. This has a lot to do with the o-line blocking scheme and the lack of discipline on defense.
