Yeah because making a rash judgment of a true freshman making his first collegiate start on the road is totally a reasonable thing to do.
You're an idiot.

How many QBs are going to have to struggle at LSU before people realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the QB but the guy running the show (whether it be Miles or the OC)? Either that, or LSU simply has the worst luck of any major college football team when it comes to QB play.
Lee was a highly regarded QB coming out of HS - he struggled at LSU
Jefferson was a highly regarded QB coming out of HS - he struggled at LSU
Mettenberger was a highly regarded QB coming out of HS and into LSU - he struggled in year one and had a good, but not great Sr. year (take out the cupcake opponents and his 2013 is virtually the same as Jefferson's 2009 season)
Jennings was a highly regarded QB coming out of HS - he has struggled thus far LSU
Harris was a highly regarded QB coming out of HS - he struggled in his only start at LSU and hasn't been able to see the field sense in spite of the fact that LSU desperately needed help in the passing game
Bring in Golson. Bring in Miller. Bring in whoever you want. Until LSU is willing to step outside of their predictable formations and play-calling, the passing game is going to continue to struggle.

My judgement was that he's not ready to start. You seem to think he is. Who's the idiot?

jennings threw 2 int's in the ole miss game and he kept chugging right on along...
But Lee had played masterfully to that point...and then shite the bed. He deserved a little more rope than that.

I don't remember saying one word regarding whether or not I think Brandon Harris should start. You made a comment that "he isn't the answer" based on his performance in one start. Nice try though. Don't worry though, you are still the overwhelming favorite for idiot of the thread.

Based on his auburn start? He could have easily started an OOC game at home and maybe had some more success...you know...build confidence and shite...although I'm sure that confidence thingy is really overrated right?

Well, when I have heard Brandon Harris talk, he has sounded more intelligent than most QBs I hear speak. I was very impressed. Picking up an offense sometimes takes a while. But again, our QB development is very slow and I don't place that all on the players. It wasn't until Mett's 3rd year in our system that he had a good year and that was after putting up huge numbers in junior college.
WHile I agree with you, buddy also said that the team isnt behind BH because of his lack of effort in the film room and entitled attitude. Buddy is on defense though... offensive side could be different picture.

If this is the case, lets hope he's learned his lesson.

I don't think he is the answer. There are tons more people in this thread that think he's the next LSU superstar. At the end of the day, they're both opinions. I don't see why their opinions are more vaild than mine.

they're not...but you're basing your opinion on the smallest of samples.
Most people are upset because we blew the tire in about the 3rd game and rode on the rim for the rest of the season.

Yet it seems everyone is ready to throw AJ on the trash heap after one full season starting.
I think people are just frustrated because he showed no big improvement over the whole season. Also, when he made that comment about feeling like there is no competition at the QB spot, I don't think that helped because he clearly isn't playing well enough to feel like there is no chance of another QB seeing the field. AJ plays with a lot of heart and generally gets the plays off well, etc., but he is in that JJ mode of not wanting to throw picks and holding onto the ball way too long.

And people watched that game and think he should still be starting.
so that's it? he gets one shot on the road at auburn?
you don't think that's just a little ridiculous to write him off after literally one start at a hostile environment?

No, he's going to get more shots. I just don't have the same expectations of him as others do.
I'm fine with AJ at QB because I have to be fine with it. That's the decision that's been made by coaches. that have all of the information, whereas I have very little of the information and can't make decisions anyway.
I can't subscribe to some idea of a nefarious scheme where Miles is holding down the clearly better option just to get at a few idiot fans or because he's stubborn and doesn't want to be wrong. If BH isn't starting, it's probably his own fault.

what was the excuse for welter/beckwith then?
the defense instantly became better with beckwith in the middle and welter watching from the sidelines

The Anthony Jennings that started in the Outback Bowl is the same Jennings we got in the Music City Bowl. No development whatsoever.
Anthony Jennings will never win any sort of championship at LSU. That's all there is to it.

Beckwith is a converted DE... and a MLB needs to know a Chavis. D inside and out.
