Out for Blood - Clemson247
We find this hard to believe... writer making stuff up.
In the Sugar Bowl, Etienne was hit on the opening kickoff by Tide defender Trevon Diggs and never seemed to full recover the rest of the game. He wasn't himself as a runner and he turned out a poor pass-protecting performance as a freshman who hadn't yet fully grasped how a serious dedication to developing his body could transform his future.
Dabo Swinney met with his deflated rookie the next day before the team plane departed home for Clemson and asked Etienne if he knew where the title game was being played two years from then.
Etienne didn't know.
"Right back here," Swinney told him.
"At the time, it felt so far way," Etienne said. "Like coach says, the days are long but the years are short. So I kind of put it in the back of my head, and boom, it's here now. It's crazy how everything worked out. It's crazy how God puts things in front of you."

Yeah, let me create fake motivation from a school that offered him, by mentioning the game in 2 years is 150 miles from his hometown. Dabo is such a cheesedick try hard

I used to not really have much of an opinion on Etienne. This constant barrage of "hometown" bullshite is making me detest him. Dude probably couldn't find New Orleans on a fricking map from where he grew up.

Oh. Blah blah blah.
frick off
This manufacturing of motivation is horse shite.
By all means, get emotional Etienne. Let it loose. And the chips will fall.

Tired of hearing this, too.
Bottom line: LSU offered a scholarship. He chose not to take it.
Whining about that offer not coming early enough or not being “shown the love” by LSU is childish and inaccurate. Did Etienne have the opportunity to commit? Yes. Did he? No. It’s on him, not us.

Yeah, "coach" stole that from a Johnson and Johnson commercial, bruh. But whatever floats your boat...

Sick of all their whining asses, just freaking bring it on and quit your sobbing to the media. “We are soooo disrespected” blah blah blah. STFU and play the damn game crybabies. I would rather our guys say a few confident (bulletin board material) things than this constant complaining, woe is me, bullshite. Clemson you are all a bunch of crying and complaining wet vaginas and should be embarrassed at this point.

A few notes:
- We offered him a scholarship before Clemson did.
- Jennings, his hometown, is a faster drive to Houston than New Orleans.
- Orgeron was being extremely complimentary and Etienne came off like a complete douche bag.
I had no problem with this kid until this last week. He's really acting like a bitch.

They're literally making things up to create a story. The martyrdom bullshite from Clemson fans/players/coach/beat writers is like nothing I've ever seen before.

And Clemson offered after us. I don’t know why he feels spurned. So dumb.

Can’t wait for this game. They are hyping themselves up for a reason. They feel that they need that extra motivation. I recently watch the North Carolina/Clemson game and just wasn’t very impressed with them. That game and the Ohio State game was probably the best two QBs they faced but nothing like what Joe is going to bring.
Guess what Clemson, this is many of the Tigers last game as well, including our RB who is talented in his own right. I guess those guys will just roll over and take a knee. These guys are in for a rude awakening.
